As you can tell by my rating, this hotel has it all. The room had a lot of space, if you want a unique hotel room this is the hotel for you. Each room is decorated with art by different artists. The location is great, steps away from the famous shopping strip, close to the bus station and to great restaurants and bars.

Each room is unique! We booked two rooms during our stay just so that we could check out more than one. The bar is also serving up excellent drinks.

This museum-accommodation is a bit far from central Kyoto, but accessibility to tourist attractions is not bad.At first, I made a reservation out of curiosity because I heard it was a place with art works, but the upper floors also had a great view of the river as a bonus.I was very lucky to find this accommodation during the crisis when most of the accommodations in Kyoto were fully booked.

We stayed there 6 nights and loved there. The room 303 was spacious - especially in Japan. Original decoration - truly living in art, great modern bathroom, and very accommodating and plesant staff.Close to everything with bus stop&7eleven just outside. Laundry less than 5 min walk.Great coffee area and coffee itself - breakfast options are quite limited, but again, the staff was very accommodating in terms of food requirements. We stayed in 3 hotels in Japan so far, and this was our favourite. They also have bar and little art gallery on the ground floor.
