Amazing value hotel with *perfect* location in a calm Gion street close to all the action. Great service, good breakfast included, and amazing bathtub made of cedar wood. The only draw is a midnight curfew, but we were assured someone would be able to let us in after 12am in the event we missed it. Will be back the next time we're in Kyoto.

The room is clean and has plenty of amenities. The scent of the cypress bath is also nice.It was a very good hotel. However, the automatic door closes after 12:00 at night, so you cannot enter. Please be careful if you are planning to go out at night in Gion etc. Also, they ask for coffee or tea for breakfast, but they don't provide milk. I had resigned myself to the fact that we didn't have any, but a foreign customer had asked for milk, so I thought maybe they would give it to me if I asked for it.If there were other amenities or pajamas that were not in the room, they would provide them if we asked. The customer service was pleasant and I would like to come back if I have the chance, but I have to be careful about returning to that location by 12:00.I'm a little hesitant.

I used it as a solo female traveler. The customer base was either solo women like me or foreign tourists.I wasn't expecting much since it was cheap, but it was very good according to the reviews. The employees are also very attentive and kind. The time I checked in happened to be happy hour, so I had drinks and snacks.Apart from that, they also gave us matcha tea as a welcome drink. The cypress bath had a nice scent and was clean and free of mold. However, it was a little difficult to adjust the temperature.Breakfast is not a buffet, but intercontinental style. It was three warm breads, yogurt, fruit, and cornflakes. This may seem small for men, but if you're having lunch while traveling, I think a light meal like this is just right.Amenities were also available, and the shampoos were single-use types rather than refillable pumps. There was also a straight iron!Recommended not only for Japanese people but also for foreigners.

The cypress bath, wash basin, complete amenities, hair dryer & iron, balcony, breakfast, everything was so good that I wondered if it was worth staying at such a price. Also, the staff's service was very attentive and it became one of the memories of my trip to Kyoto.Furthermore, I recently received a postcard saying ``Greetings in the summer.'' This is an inn I would definitely like to stay at again.
