I stayed for one night. Since check in is at 4pm, we had to leave our bags at a locker in Toji Station. We tried to ask if it was possible to leave them at the hotel via email, booking app messaging and phone call, without luck. The hotel has a beautiful shared area, which you can enjoy a little bit since check in is at 4, common areas are closed at 11pm and check out is at 10am sharp (or the automated check out machine will charge you extra). It felt rushed but still nice . Sharing bathroom felt comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. My friend’s double room felt more cramped, the bedroom was almost the size of the double bed, so there was not much space to stand or organize your stuff. They leave you super comfy “Samu” pijamas to use.

The Sakura terrace the atelier is just amazing for what you get for the money.Overall it’s just made lovely and the service is amazing. Staff is so friendly, the common areas are very detailed and well equipped. So here in detail:The rooms are simple but there’s everything you need, from a comfy bed to toiletries and air conditioning. The Onzen is super clean, shampoo and other toilettes are free to everybody’s use, it’s not huge but big enough for everyone. And the common areas are just amazing: free coffee (you can hand brew one yourself 🤩), board games to lend, clean spaces to eat, etc.And last but not least: located is the hotel just a couple of minutes from the station.Thank you for the very nice stay, I’d recommend this hotel a 100 percent!

Quiet place, with a very nice and relaxing living room. Having free coffee and infusion is appreciated. The showers are very stylish and clean, plus there is an Onsen inside! The rooms are not as small as we had read, the truth is that very well. We recommend it, we were very pleased.

We spent 4 nights sleeping in this hotel. We are very happy with all the staff and the conditions of the rooms. They are the perfect size, with sink included. You have a shared onsen and a comfortable and inviting living room. If I were to go back to Kyoto I would go back

Very cost effective. We stayed for about 5000 yen for two people without meals. There was a dining space on the first floor that everyone enjoyed, and there was space for a washing machine, pots, nail clippers, etc. to be borrowed.I didn't drink it, but coffee seems to be free.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during my kyoto trip. The rooms were okay but the floors are a little dirty. They have free laundry but it's always very full and there are no passwords on the machines so anyone can open and stop the washer or dryer during the middle of the run. We had to wait for 2 hours for a dryer and there were a line the whole time. While we were waiting for the dryer, an impaitient hotel guest that didnt want to line up came down and literally opened all the dryers and stopped all the machines without resuming the machines that she stopped. She tossed out clothes from one of the dryer and start putting her own clothes in. The staff did not do anything. It was quite a scene to watch. Their public bath close at 1am and there are no shower in the room. So if you pass the 1am mark, you will not be able to shower. 1am is too early in my opinion as the other japanes hotels that i stayed at are usually 2am or 3am. It is also very tricky as they don't state the closing hours in the public bath. The hotel staff also didn't mention it during check in. So if you didn't read all the information sheets in the hotel room or on their website you would not know. One of the day we went to universal studio in osaka and by the time we had dinner and take the train back and walk back to the hotel it's already 12:50. By the time we take the elevator down to the public bath it's already 12:55 and the receptionist saids the bath is closed and we cannot shower. I'm not sure what is the purpose of closing the bath from 1am to 5am even no one is cleaning during that time. It was a very hot day in osaka and we were very sweaty but had to sleep without shower. They also don't clean the room for you so the sweaty bedsheets will be the one you're sleeping in. There are free coffees at the lobby but u cannot bring it back to the room, there are also rules that you cannot eat or drink in the rooms.
