It's a very quiet and clean Japanese-style inn. The proprietress is warm and thoughtful. She will help you wash your clothes every morning, and put the folded clean clothes neatly in your room when you come back at night. I look forward to staying there next time.

Location about 1 km from Kyoto station. It's around 15 minutes walking. It's close to Nishi Honganji Temple as well. The staffs were very helpful and very hospitable. Most of the staffs are senior citizens but they're younger staffs also. They can speak basic English and trying to do so. When we've arrived at the property it was to early, so we dropped our luggages at the front desk and the staff tells us that he'll put our luggages in our room when it comes to check-in time. The property vibes are in traditional Japanese, including the bathroom. But one thing that must be notice and must have an improvement is its men's toilet, it's smelly though it's clean.Another thing you should prepare before check in is Kyoto Tourism Tax that was excluded from the room price and should be paid in cash. It's ¥200 each person and charged when we're checking in. But they're already notified us 2 days prior for this Kyoto Tourism Tax.We got higher price room due to golden week. Kyoto itself was very overated, too many tourist and crowds were everywhere in the city along the golden week from April 29 to May 05 every year.

Stayed here for 1 night and loved the place and people running it. Got a big room, everything is clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They even helped us arrange for our luggage to be sent to Tokyo. Would stay here again.

It was my first ryokan ever in my life and I had a great experience. Everyone is super nice and the rooms are cute and the beds are very comfortable. The only problem was communal bathroom but honestly, it’s not that far from the rooms. They also have their own onsen which was super clean and nice. They do come into ur room and clean every day such as making your bed, providing you with new towels. They also provide laundry service and water for free.

The owner is very kind and does the laundry every morning and folds it nicely. It's an old inn, but it's very clean. There isn't a single hair in the drain of the women's bathroom. The location is good, so you can easily walk to Kyoto Station and Kawaramachi with a bit of walking.

Thank you for taking care of the banquet and accommodation. I was able to relax at an old-fashioned inn.Higashi Honganji Temple is also nearby, so I was able to participate in morning prayers before breakfast. The food was also delicious❗
