Stay Sakura is great value for money. Like a small apartment. Washing machine and cooking facilities. Go from Kyoto station on the green line to Karasuma station, K8 (same as gate T13) and exit at gate 2 then google map to get to Sakura. It’s easy when you know how.

Stayed here for a little over a week. The rooms feel very cheap (the entire bathroom is literally plastic), but you get what you pay for. They do not regularly clean the rooms and only take the towels once or twice a week. The kitchenette is convenient, but the provided plates are so tiny they have little utility and there are no bowls or any other kind of dish. The room gets nice and cold, so that was great. The shower has a nice feature where it can actually blow a cool breeze on you when you’re in the bath, and it can also be set to dry the shower out once you’re done so it’s not moist. We actually hung our wet laundry in there and used the dry function to dry our laundry. The room has a washing machine, but only hangers to dry your clothes. The front desk is usually only staffed with one person, who seemed to be there most of the time but not all the time. There is one vending machine inside the building that has drinks. The hotel is within a ten minute walk of Karasuma-Oike station which receives the Karasuma and Tozai lines, so that was very convenient, but there are certainly other hotels that are closer if that is something that is very important to you.

The hotel was great! The lady at the front was incredibly friendly! Our room was a little hot coming in, but the AC was great to cool off. Kyoto this time of year is definitely pricey, but for the price and the fact that it comes with a washing machine in the room, I’d definitely recommend a Sakura Stay to anyone!

There is a washing machine, microwave, refrigerator, and kitchen, so it's convenient to live in.I didn't know how to fill the water with hot water, so when I asked the staff, it seemed like it was difficult to understand Japanese. That's a little disappointing. The bed has Japanese decoration. I'm sure it will be well received by foreigners.
