Self checkin has a number of issues and we waited for their staff to follow up on the matter standing at the front door for 40 minutes. Their intercom failed constantly: connection was bad and voice quality was bad. The staff does not understand English well as well and also was IT incompetent - they didn't know what they were doing and they hardly knew anything about their own system. The room has a smell of urine when you entered; there were also spots where cigrattes scent could be clearly smelt in a non-smoking room; worst at all - there was a leftover sock probably from the previous staying guest nearby the bed. There are also bedbugs. yes, bedbugs.Except the location, I don't know what to compliment about the poorest experience I have ever had in Japan.

The room had a calm Japanese atmosphere. However, although it was written that check-in was self-check-in, I did not know that it was an unmanned hotel, and unfortunately it was difficult to understand how to check-in.

I used it on a family trip. I was a little worried because other people's reviews said that the cleaning was not thorough or that the check-in process was troublesome, but I personally thought that the cleaning was done well, although I wouldn't say it was perfect. However, I didn't find the check-in process particularly difficult. Regarding check-in, as long as you register in advance using the URL for guest information registration provided in the reservation completion email and confirm the check-in code, you will not be in a hurry on the day. On the day of your stay, enter your check-in code at the check-in terminal, check the guest information, etc., and then speak to a slightly sloppy operator to confirm your identity and receive your room key. It's very reasonably priced for an inn in a tourist area, and I feel like it's an inn I can recommend to people who want to stay at a good value.

First of all, the location is great. I stayed with my family, and the room had an open feel, so I didn't feel cramped when I slept. However, I was at a level where I doubted whether they were cleaning the room. In the room I stayed in, there was hair scattered on the floor, and a pair of socks that I had probably worn left behind by the window. Honestly, I didn't expect my hair to fall that much. I felt disappointed because the room was beautiful. I think the person at the reception desk is a foreigner, so I wonder if this is a foreign-owned hotel. I do not know, but. I would like to see more control over the cleaning of the rooms if possible.

I stayed here for one night on June 7th.I chose the location well. It didn't really feel like the cleaning was done properly. There was a torn piece of toilet paper in the toilet. Also, it seemed like I had been bitten by some sort of insect while I was sleeping, and I had insect bites in 3 places. There were two of us staying there, and I was the only one who got stung because I was sleeping on the futon. I'm thinking of seeing a dermatologist tomorrow because the itching is so strong.I was really worried because the reviewer mentioned bed bugs. I don't know if it's a mite or what, but I'd like something to be done about it. If it were bed bugs, it wouldn't be at the level of a complaint. I will appeal.

I got to the hotel at 2PM, and my booking started at 3PM. I wanted to check in my bags. But, there is no front desk to communicate with, only cleaners. The cleaners were helpful by helping me connect with the property via phone but the call staff were exceptional unhelpful. This hotel only holds small-medium bags if you are willing to caugh up 500yen. Medium-large bags do not fit in the lockers. The call staff refused to help me further, put me on a 7min hold only to forget who I am and what my situation was.

There are so many complaints on check-in. But no improvement at all. Spare at least 20 minutes for this poor check-in system.

I've been using it every year since it opened because it's close to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and the rooms have a Japanese cafe-like atmosphere. However, when I stayed this year, I had a very unpleasant experience regarding hygiene. There was hair stuck in the shower room, mold on the curtains, and hair from previous guests on the bed, which was horrifying. To make matters worse, I was bitten by bed bugs. In this case, the fact that there is no receptionist and no one to manage the facility means that they can cut corners when it comes to cleaning. I shivered, thinking that maybe it hadn't even been cleaned. It was a shame because it was my favorite hotel.
