Nothing was wrong with this place! Absolutely avoid! In all the hotels I've been to in Japan, this was the worst!By entering this hotel, you leave Japan to find yourself in the worst hostel in London. No space in the rooms, it smells bad everywhere, it's not clean, the common areas were filled with hair and dirt...Because of this hotel, we were not able to enjoy the real charm of Kyoto. It was with this hotel that we said to ourselves that we would never again take a cheap place with mediocre reviews, never again!

Very cosy, clean, quiet and a friendly owner. Volunteers working around the clock to keep it tidy and clean. Rooms feel nice and clean. One tiny problem is that I wish the 6 dorm was only 4. But overall so worth it for the price!

The host, Essam, was very welcoming. The best part about living in such accomodations is to be able to meet and converse with people of different countries. Apart from exploring Kyoto, I got to experience accounts of anecdotes from various cultures with me. I wish them the very best. The only negative I could think is of is that the dorm room was a bit small. Also, avoid carrying heavy luggage as there is no lift.

The owner is from Egypt (*^_^*) It is difficult to pay by card (^_^;). There is no floor light on the bed in the dormitory room, so when you turn on the light, the whole room becomes bright, which is a bit inconvenient 🙏 Namoami dabu 🙏

The owner is just watching, it doesn't matter if the staff can't speak Japanese, I don't know what the owner is for, I don't recommend it to Japanese people. If you don't care about anything and it's cheap, I think it's fine, but if not, look elsewhere. Also, ⭐️It seems like there is an award for 9 points, but don't be fooled.Well, it doesn't seem to match.

Hostel very close to Umekoji Kiotonishi station, you can hear and see the trains. It is spread over 3 levels plus the terrace. On the ground floor 1, there is the reception, a living room, a drinks dispenser and a shoe storage room. You can access the upper floors with your own slippers or those made available. On the 1st and 2nd floors there are the rooms, with shared showers and bathrooms. On the 2nd floor there is also a kitchen equipped with utensils, a fridge and a living room with 2 small stools and seat cushions.

A cozy little guest house located in the heart of Kyoto! I felt so welcome and I truly met my overseas family here. I booked an extra day and the host made accommodations for me. It felt like a home more than a hostel to be honest. The friendships I cultivated here will last a lifetime. The environment is lively, safe, and inclusive. You cook, eat, laugh, and meet travelers from all over the world. The Japanese style upstairs is so lovely, and they have a map downstairs of places to go! Thankful I got to stay in such a communal space filled with respect and kindness on my trip. I stayed at a lot of hostels in Japan, this was by far my favorite. I also loved that they had a girls room.If you stay here, make sure to enjoy all the restaurants in the area. The bakery and beef place are epic! If you get a chance to check out the bar next door you’ll see a very handsome Japanese man making food and drinks at 8 hacchi. Best takoyaki of my life.Thank you for the fond memories and I hope to find myself back here again sooner than later. :)
