Campsite for boy scoutsAdvance reservation and key collection requiredThe access road is narrow and requires a shallow river crossing by car.The site is an open space and a forest area. The toilet is empty and scary at nightThe site is difficult to peg.No shower etc. There is a kitchen, but it's scary because it's deep in the forest. No open fire (Is it OK to use a bonfire stand?)The night was cold (May), scary (nothing came out)Possible to play in the riverBears have been confirmed in the surrounding area, so soloing may be dangerous.

It's the best place if you don't mind phone calls in advance, application forms, picking up and returning keys, reports, and bots.

The road to get here is narrow. Since they are outdoor enthusiasts, they often drive large cars, but they are not very good at driving and it is difficult to pass each other.

It's a little complicated to use the place. First you have to apply on the internet, download the permission when it's sent to you, take the permission paper to pickup a key for the front gate from their central Kyoto office (the key is only for people who plan to camp with a vehicle otherwise you don't need to pick it up).All the facilities are good including free wifi (try to read the QR code in the permission paper beforehand for the wifi password because there's no signal in the camping ground). There is no western toilets so you have to squat like a kungfu master : )A river is between the camping ground and the road so you have to drive/walk on the riverbed as there isn't a bridge. Part of the riverbed is made of cement and the water wasn't high last time we crossed it.Good luck 🤞

It was a quiet and wild campsite.Unfortunately, the campground was rented out to Boy Scouts, but campers with bad manners left scissors and other trash behind.I happened to report the incident to a young boy scout who was there, and we worked together to deal with the matter. If this continues, you will eventually not be able to borrow money, so I would like you to stop.

I don't want to say it too loudly, but the site in the foreground, the "D" wave, seems to be coming in well, the site in the back, "D" is not good, but "A" and "S" seem to be coming in. Near the hut, there is also a free distorted cup prepared.

It's a shame because there is a waste yard right in front of it.
