We checked in tonight to find people overstaying their reservation from the previous night and a mess in the bedrooms and living room. No one from the ryokan is answering our requests for help. Strongly recommend booking elsewhere as we wasted a night waiting for any help whatsoever.

It was a beautiful, spacious, and wonderful inn. There were a lot of juices, alcohol, and other drinks in the fridge...it was a waste not to drink them😂And no matter what, the open-air bath was the best.Fallen leaves floated in the bathtub, making it feel like autumn. The vegetarian vegetarian food for breakfast was also delicious. It was a wonderful trip!

The two of us went on a graduation trip in March 2020. It was spacious enough for two people, and it felt very clean. I was satisfied because I was able to take an open-air bath in the middle of Kyoto. There was no view, but it was so calm that I could sleep anywhere, be it on the first floor or the second floor. It may be recommended for couples who don't live together or for having fun with a large group. However, it's a residential area so don't make too much noise...

A wonderful experience. Location is top notch to a traditional street. One room has a comfy queen size traditional mattress, the other has 2 Japanese style mattresses. The comforters are the best. Full kitchen, one commode upstairs, one outside as is the shower and tub. The soaking tub is a too small (I'm 6' 2") to fit my legs but I dig it. My boy friend doesn't like the lack of a washer/dryer or more than one mirror. I especially like the inclusion of the record player; jazz is rampant in this town. Overall the style and personality of the place fits well with the Kyoto experience I wanted.
