Well-equipped, spacious and well-located hotel in the heart of the Gion district. However, the level of service does not correspond to the standard. The staff are not flexible and friendly. …

Basic- very bad or zero customer service. There was no hotel reception at all for the entire stay. The entry card to the front door outside only worked during the hours of 9-11pm or is someone was at the reception which was never. …

I think this started as a bit of a disappointment. It is obvious that the interior is worn down, some details stand out broken and not working - like a stereo with broken songs on an internal disc, the radio didn'twork, electrical buttons sometimes broken, rice lamps being broken, an attempt to make a Japanese garden outside a premieur suite, where torn ricepaper is dangling on the windows, carpet is terribly miscolored and the air condition makes a screaming noise. But the worst part had yet to come: The "smoking zone" area turned out to be the staircase and hallway outside the rooms. Fans were set up to spread out the smoke, but with the result of the hallways smelling like an old pub, and this smell was coming inside the rooms through cracks in the outer door and hallway. Definitely not something you would expect from a 30.000 ¥ room. The staff offered us a different room much later, but only after trying to blame the neighbor for the smell of cigarette smoke, saying "it was his fault".This being said, the onsen is really nice. Staff is very kind and helpful. The Japanese breakfast was a great treat. And the location in the center of Gion was very valuable. The rooms do appear to have a sense of luxury in them, but it feels a bit like when renting a 15 year old worn down Mercedes.

I stayed at this hotel located right near Kyoto Yasaka Shrine.During my stay, I was very comfortable, and the staff's thorough cleaning and hospitality were wonderful. The room is spacious (100 square meters), and you can see the beautiful night view of Kyoto Tower from the bathroom with a jacuzzi.I was very grateful that there was a wide variety of tea, coffee, and tea, and that the drinks in the refrigerator were free.(Champagne is different)I used the room with my children, and they were sometimes hesitant to go out because the room was so comfortable. lolThere were also two toilets, and we were provided with plenty of bath towels, gowns, pajamas, etc., so we were able to enjoy baths many times during our stay. There are also many restaurants nearby, and there is a Starbucks in the APA hotel across the street. There is a Family Mart, Lawson, and a pharmacy within walking distance, making it very convenient. It was a great memory.

My stay at the five-star hotel was nothing short of a disaster, the entrance was scary!. From the unclean rooms “dirty and stained carpets” and lackluster dining options to the unprofessional staff and inadequate facilities, every aspect of the hotel fell short of the standards expected from a luxury establishment. This experience has left me questioning the credibility of the hotel's five-star rating and has certainly discouraged me from ever returning or recommending it to others. It is clear that the hotel has a long way to go in terms of improving its customer service and overall guest experience.

It was a comfortable stay. Most of the employees were foreigners. There were some people at the front desk who were not good at Japanese, so I got the feeling that it was aimed at overseas customers. There were no instructions about receipts, and they issued them after I told them about it, and they didn't even give me champagne as a reservation bonus on the website, and for some reason it was paid in advance when it was supposed to be paid on-site. There was a slight misunderstanding. Those who seek perfection and the treatment of five-star hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton may not be satisfied. The person at the front desk when I checked in seemed to be a bit not good at Japanese, so I was wondering if it would be okay? That's what I thought at first, but the three people at the front desk who dealt with me afterwards were all foreigners, but they were very kind, and above all, they were charming and personable. As soon as I relaxed, I felt more comfortable. This time I stayed in room 402, Sakura Nadeshiko. It consists of three rooms: a living room, a Japanese-style room, and a bedroom. What surprised me was the view of Kyoto Tower. The room located on the Hanamikoji side had a great view of Kyoto Tower. It was on the 4th floor, a low floor, but Kyoto has many low buildings, so I was able to see Kyoto Tower as well.Of course, we could see Kyoto Tower from the bath.I made a reservation with dinner and breakfast included, but it seems like the dinner and breakfast are catered and served by the hotel. The response was very good and the response was very good.Dinner is kaiseki. It was a kaiseki meal at a place called Hyakusokuya Honten, which is part of the same hotel management group.I was full of tempura, sashimi, and steak. There was no particular guide for breakfast, but there were some dishes similar to those for dinner, so I guess they were made by the same Momopoda store. I think. It was also delicious. The food could be served either in a Western-style living room or in a Japanese-style room, but this time we had it in a Japanese-style room. The only disappointing thing was that when I asked for ice, the ice I got was like freezing tap water at home in the freezer, and unfortunately it wasn't clear ice, but that's about it for me.Other than that, some of the employees were not fluent in Japanese, but the Japanese front desk staff came to the room when I checked out, so I thought it was okay.Above all, the size of the room, the size of the bath, the beautiful scenery, the deliciousness of the dinner and breakfast, and most of all, the friendliness of all the employees, which overcame the difficulty of speaking Japanese. I thought it was a great stay.

I've been to this place a few times, and when you enter the store from the right side, more than half of the right side was filled with gachagacha 😱😲There were all kinds of gacha gacha and it was fun.
