Takashimaya Department Store, Fuji Daimaru Department Store, 1 minute walk. Clean, well-located, value-for-money hotel

The rooms are luxurious on the one hand, but far too small on the other. There is room for only 1 horizontal suitcase and there are no cupboards for clothes. As many as 5 hangers for coats or dresses. There is little space for a toiletry bag in the bathroom or sink. There is a small cupboard with low shelves. As a tall European it feels limited. The beds, pillows and sheets are exquisite!View from the 7th floor is disappointing. You look out on walls and 3 cemeteries.

Great sized room for Japan. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our entire trip in Japan! The onsen was great, too.

This is by far my favorite hotel that I stayed in on my Japan trip. The Japanese-style room was so cute, and the onsen was awesome. Such a cool vibe, friendly staff, and a very convenient location. Would highly recommend!

The location is a bully. Unless you are going out of Kyoto, there is no reason to stay at Kyoto Station. You can get there by bus or subway near Kawaramachi Station, and the center of Kawaramachi can be accessed within a 5-minute walk.Nishiki Market is right in front, so it's easy to get around at any time, and restaurants are located within a 10-minute walk. The rooms are kept clean every day and the staff are friendly, but the only drawback is that the windows do not open.Of course, they managed it well so that it wasn't stuffy, and the air conditioner worked well, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience, but it was disappointing that there was no ventilation. There was a post saying it was very dusty, but even though I am quite sensitive, our room was fine. However, since the light shines on the background of a dark room, dust in the air is easily visible, so I think you may feel that way.Overall, I am very satisfied with the location and plan to visit again.

The location is really good. It's in the middle of the city center, there are two department stores right in front, and there's also Nishiki Market. I did not include breakfast, but it was nice to buy some things to eat at Depachika (department store basement) or Nishiki Market. The entrance is a bit ambiguous (Google Maps seems to have given the route strangely?), so it takes time to find it.It was a double room, so it was a bit narrow, but it was a great hotel for the price. I had a pleasant stay. Of course, Mitsui Garden Hotel. The scent at the entrance was very Kyoto-like and very delicate, which I liked. Next time I go to Kyoto, I plan to go here again.
