Karasawa is really a great place with a wonderful traditional charm. The rooms are wide and comfortable, and the indoor onsen nice to dip in after a day of walking (or bicycling on the house's bicycles. The host is most hospitable and very friendly. Absolutely recommendable!

Akiko-san and family were very nice and made us feel very welcome! They had great recommendation for food. The traditional Japanese room was clean, quiet, spacious, and the futon beds were very comfortable. The view to the garden was picturesque. The onsen was so enjoyable to relax in after a long day.Mid February was cold (Outside roughly 40F/4.5C) - the a/c unit inside the room kept it nice and cozy.Lastly, Lala-chan the receptionist has been the best receptionist I have met on our travel!P.S Arigato gozaimasu once again for dropping us off to the station when it was raining!

Nice accomodation and very kind staff. It was an amazing experience in a ryokan, a traditional inn, but not so comfortable during autumn (room was very cold despite the heating). Also, location it's not so practical: it is located in an extraurban area, so you have to consider extra cost to transfer by bus or taxi - by foot is way too far from the city centre and in the middle of nowhere. NB The transportation pass (24hour) doesn't cover this area - save your money.

A ryokan to experience sleeping in traditional Japanese style. A very kind hostess, who also took us to the station by car in the morning for free. It is worse with the room itself, there is relatively noise from the main road, the room is quite old and the heat escapes from it faster than the air conditioner can create it, so the room was very cold. A bit of confusion with the private onsen. But overall an interesting experience of a traditional Ryokan.

It was an absolutely excellent ryokan experience. The hosts were very friendly and we were even picked up and dropped off at the train station. The onsen was very nice and we had a very nice stay. Gladly again. :)

This was my 1st ruyoken and it was good, and I will add, it's just like in the movies. The hostess and the overall hospitality extended to me were truly remarkable. The staff, especially the English-speaking ladies, went out of their way to assist in every possible manner. The rooms were immaculate, showcasing a high standard of upkeep. Please remember these buildings are old so handle with care. While the garden was still undergoing some enhancements during my visit, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The potential and dedication invested were evident, and I'm sure it will blossom into a splendid feature. It's easy to take the bus or taxi there and the hostess gives a pick up and or drops off ride. But ask please.

Since the inn is not that big, we were able to be flexible in many ways. The landlady was a very kind person, and she kindly agreed to change the time of the free shuttle, and even prepared a stove for us because it was cold in the morning.Personally, I liked being able to play table tennis as much as I wanted in the lobby (lol). If you tell your relatives that you are staying in Karasawa at FURANSU, a shop in Kikura-cho, they will give you yuzu liquor as a service! The problem is that it is a little far from the center of Kanazawa, but I would definitely like to stay there next time I visit Kanazawa!
