This is my second stay at the Yukai Resort series. The building is quite old and shows its age.The customer service at the front desk was kind and courteous.I think the overall customer service of the staff was good.Personally, I was disappointed with the room.It was a standard Japanese-style room, and although it was nice and large, I got the impression that it wasn't kept well-cleaned overall. The ceiling and walls of the room are filled with dead bodies of mysterious insects. There were also spider webs here and there.Wouldn't it be better to at least clean the visible areas more thoroughly? The thought of spending the night in a room full of insects made me feel uneasy. It can't be helped that the building and equipment are old, but it's a shame because I think the cleaning could be done with more effort. Also, the air conditioner was old and could only adjust the air volume, so even though it was cold, only cold air was flowing.

I was bitten to death by a tick and both my legs were so itchy that I couldn't sleep properly.I think they buy sheets every day, but they may not maintain their mattresses and comforters.I feel that the cleanliness here is seriously flawed.I paid 15,000 yen and was honestly disappointed. The customer service at the front desk was very nice and had a great atmosphere.

From the open-air bath, you can only see trees and no scenery, but when I took a bath in the morning, there was a cute squirrel in the tree.

Accommodation around 8000 yenWas this your second time at Yukai Resort? Since it's a hotel in Kyoto, it's a bit more distant compared to places like Itoen. I stayed there on a weekday. Viking is compared to Itoen, but the level is definitely higher.Open kitchen sirloin steak, freshly fried tempura. And local specialty side dishes. Several types of ice cream. Desserts were also quite extensive, and the apple pie was delicious. Also, the motsu nabe that I made myself was exquisite. Viking rating is 4 starsI ordered a single sake, but it was Fukumasamune's cheap pure rice, Kin no Shizuku. It had a decent taste, but I was satisfied with the buffet. The hot spring rating is about 2 stars. Both indoor and outdoor baths are clearly chlorinated hot springs, as expected. Also, the room rating is 1 star. I stayed on the first floor of a separate building, but it was my first time to experience a room that smelled like mold and I was surprised.Although it is called Yamanaka Onsen, it is in an area where it is difficult to walk around as there are no shops nearby.

The walls of the room were so thin that I could hear people talking in the next room. Dinner is expensive, so I guess it can't be helped. There is one indoor bath, one open-air bath, and one sauna. Hot water is normal.
