The hotel is quite new. There are three different hot springs. The scenery is beautiful. The buffet is not bad, but it is complicated with many group guests. There are also performances and bingo activities.

Although the facilities are a bit old, the location is excellent and the service quality is excellent. Especially the view of the bathhouse is very open. However, the bathhouse does not provide iced milk or drinks after bathing. One point will be deducted. It is a bit stingy for its price, but still Recommended accommodation when traveling to Soyunxia.

Very nice hotel surrounded by nature (deer crossed in front of us when we arrived). Meals (dinner and breakfast) very generous and very varied! Very pleasant restaurant. Bright and recently tastefully renovated room. The icing on the cake: the outdoor onsens are magnificent and overlook nature with just the butterflies as a sight. Magic. Very friendly staff

The rooms are wonderful. The food is also great. The illumination of the autumn leaves is also wonderful. There is nothing to say about customer service. This time, there were an unusually large number of continental tourists.I used the "Room with an open-air observation bath - Wabo Yukka".We had a wonderful time. It's a nice hotel, but I'm just disappointed in the way the people from the mainland don't pay attention to their loud voices and children running around noisily.

All the staff is very nice, meeting the high standards of Japanese hospitality. It seems like the hotel is partially renovated. I don’t mind staying in one of the older rooms, but the hotel hosts many large tour groups. The rooms are not soundproof, and some of the guests can be quite loud.As for the buffet, the food selection remains the same every day, which can become quite boring if you stay more than 2 nights.I believe it would be beneficial for everyone if the hotel accommodated individual bookings on separate floors from tour groups or selling difference room type for individual customers.

Mid-September 2024Day trip bath useI've been using it for so long that I don't even know how many years it's been since I was a kid.I only had an image of what it was like back then, so I was amazed at how much it had changed after passing through the entrance.Stylish! It was already too fashionable from the lobby. The atmosphere is reminiscent of OMO and La Vista.Day trip bathing costs ¥800. cheap.By the way, with the company's welfare program (Benefit One), this time it was ¥660. It's a good deal.I recommend office workers to check it out ^ ^This hotel seems to have three hot springs. (There used to be two)There are places where you can enter and places where you cannot enter depending on the time of day (12:30 is the cutoff). This time I arrived around 11:45, so I forced myself to go into three places. I was satisfied, but I'm busy so I don't recommend it lolEach building is separated by a west wing, an east wing, and a breezeway, so it's like a maze for beginners.Shampoo and soap are provided in all baths. Cleansing included. Lotion and emulsion available. There is a hair dryer. Paper cups of drinking water available.I don't know the rental fee because I brought my own towels. There is a small locker with a key in the changing room. free.☆ “Tenkawa no Yu”…Small. One indoor bath and one open-air bath. The scenery is grass and trees.I was supposed to be able to bathe until 12:30, but the hot water in the open-air bath was only up to my calves, so I couldn't bathe.☆"Chinita no Yu"...Remains of the old days remained. It's old-fashioned here. Brick walls and stained glass. A hot spring was springing up in a forgotten ruin! It looks like a spacious room with high ceilings. But there aren't many washrooms. No open air. This is the only place with a sleeping bath. If you go there, it seems like the atmosphere is better at night. There used to be a slide, but it's no longer there.☆"Taisetsu-no-Yu"...The main public bath with a great view of this hotel. This hotel itself is located on a hill within Sounkyo Onsen, so the view from the bathhouse on the 7th floor is spectacular. The leaves had not yet started to turn autumn, but I remember that the mountains in front of me would be beautifully colored. The sauna is also made of glass so you can see the scenery, so you can enjoy the sauna as well.As a result, if you want to take a day trip to the bath, you can just choose "Taisetsu-no-Yu" on the 7th floor! (This is my personal opinion)You can take a bath here from 12:30.Please refer to the photo for bathing times. There was a stylish bakery cafe on the first floor. There was also alcohol. The only restaurants nearby are ramen shops, so it would be nice to have a place like this ^ ^My husband, who is from Sapporo, went to the first Sounkyo. Even though he said things like, ``Sounkyo has an old and dirty image...'' (that's rude!), he even said, ``I'll come stay the night next time.''It's only an hour away from Asahikawa on the free expressway, so it's perfect for a drive. There is a ropeway station within walking distance. There were a lot of trekking style tourists (foreigners). Is it close to the trailhead? It's great to work up a sweat and spend the night in a hot spring.

The rooms and service were good, but the restaurant operation and menu were very disappointing. There are 3 large baths, and the 8th floor large bath is good.It is clearly operated by time, but the restaurant's food serving area only covers about 1/5 of the seats, so it is too crowded even if it is operated separately for Chinese and Korean groups.Meanwhile, both Chinese and Korean ladies cut in line a lot and it was so messy that it was difficult to put food in or get to one's seat. However, breakfast is a bit better.

My first visit to Sounkyo Onsen.A hot spring town located in a valley on the uppermost reaches of the Ishikari River. In winter, the temperature is -30℃. I have relatives in Kitami, so I have visited Sounkyo many times, but this was my first time staying at Sounkyo Onsen. It has a long history, over 70 years! There are hot springs all over Hokkaido, but I'm often impressed that a hot spring inn was built in a place like this 70 years ago. The current building was completed in 1972 and underwent major renovations during the coronavirus pandemic, and everything from the lobby to the rooms is very clean and comfortable! The hallway is filled with a gentle aroma, and the room is a relaxing Japanese-style room with indirect lighting. The hot springs are sulfur springs. There isn't much of a sulfur smell, perhaps because the source temperature is high and water is added, but there are three large public baths, each of which can be enjoyed in its own way.You can enjoy the autumn leaves that are unique to this time of year from both your room and the open-air bath.As an inn that prides itself on its cuisine, the food is also very delicious! It's really delicious! The head chef is particular about the Japanese cuisine, and each dish is carefully prepared over time. The humorous explanations in the names of each dish whet your appetite.Particularly noteworthy is the rice grown in Higashikawa town, which is cooked using Taisetsu water, and the other rice is delicious even with just salt. When I was given a special tour of the buffet before the meal, I couldn't pass it up...That's crazy, I want to eat both. All the staff are always smiling and kind.In the evening, Ainu dances and bingo tournaments are held. This Ainu lady's talk was interesting~Sounkyo Onsen, which I had never passed before.I would like to come again.

It's very spacious.Since the air conditioner is central, it can be difficult to choose between cooling and heating. It is far away from Lopuei.
