I love this place. Great location. The room is typical Japanese room. There is no shower inside the room but public onsen available on the 1st floor. This is what I wanted. The front desk is very helpful although there is some communication barrier😅. Overall I highly recommend this hotel👍🙏

We stayed for two nights, with dinner and breakfast. The hot springs were cloudy white high alkaline and were refreshing and nice on our skin. We loved them. The room had a great view of the mountains and a ski jump.  …

We loved our 5 night stay at Oak Hill. We chose not to have meals and found restaurants within walking distance. It is an older style hotel but very comfortable. The onsens were great and alternated between men and women so we could try them all. It's an easy walk up the hill to the ski lifts. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There were great little treats left in the room each day. Futons were comfy. Very affordable and highly recommended. Thanks Oak Hill for helping us to have a fantastic stay at zao onsen.

Well located, very "Japanese" - virtually no English spoken but everyone was friendly and we could make ourselves understood. Free shuttle to and from the nearby bus station if you ring the hotel.  …

I used it on a weekday in June 2024 while traveling alone (by car). This was my first time visiting Zao Onsen, so I chose an accommodation on Rakuten Travel with good reviews that I could stay in alone. In conclusion, it was a very correct answer.First of all, I felt that the hotel's front desk staff and meal service were very attentive.I didn't know much about Zao at all, but when I went out to visit the hot springs after dinner, I checked with the front desk and was given an easy-to-understand map, which was very helpful. We also received free tickets to 4 hot springs. The rooms were kept clean and I had a comfortable stay.As for the hot springs, there are two indoor baths and two open-air baths, so you can enjoy a total of eight hot springs as the genders are swapped. In particular, the open-air bath was open and the seasonal greenery around it was very beautiful, making it the most pleasant hot spring. This was my first one-night trip to Zao Onsen, and I was very satisfied as I was able to tour the hot springs of Zao Onsen and have a great time at the hotel.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

2024/06/20The place where I was taken care of when I went out of prefecture on my first motorcycle trip 👌When I was looking for accommodation all over the place from Zao and couldn't get a reservation, they helped me.👌I decided to head there in a hurry, and when I went down the Echo Line, I ended up getting off in the opposite direction, and after going back and forth on the Echo Line, I have to go there again (...;) BakadanahaI called and said, "I'll be an hour late...!" I thought she would get angry, but she kindly said, "Please be careful when coming."🙏Single room without meals 8,000 yen.The rooms have a Japanese-style atmosphere 👌The entrance from the parking lot and the entrance to the bathhouse are right next to each other, so it's easy to mistake them for each other. There are single-colored yukatas in the aisles, and a wide variety of patterned yukatas (for women) right next to the bathhouse. However, given my height of 149 cm, the M size yukata was so big that it almost touched the ground, so I had to be careful when wearing it.Cup noodle vending machine and shop available. You will need to call an employee for the store. There is a Lawson convenience store nearby, but it takes about 15 minutes on foot. When I went to the hot spring ♨️, there were 2 types of baths inside and 2 types of open-air baths outside, so it was luxurious ♪ There was no one there, so I was able to enjoy it slowly 😳It was my first time staying in a hotel by myself, so I decided to stay in a hotel. Stay overnight? Do I need a reservation? Even though I was worried, I was able to rest here.I hope I can go again sometime.Thank you very much🙇
