This hotel is mediocre in every sense.TLDRFor what you pay, you'd expect a much higher quality than this. You could stay at a luxury resort for a similar price and have a much better experience. The rooms are old and in need of renovation The food is dull, uninspired, and frequently served cold since they use a sloppy buffet style. The baths are simple and have no variety (the same temp, minerals, and size with just a difference in the amount of fake concrete rocks). The private suite rotemburo are small and poorly realized. The hotel claims the temperature can be adjusted, but that's just not the case. No matter how much cold water you add to the bath via its faucet it will always be immediately made irrelevant by a larger automated faucet directly from the onsen that comes out at at least 48C almost nonstop. Good luck enjoying your private onsen when you can't get comfortable or hear anything over the cacophony of noise the faucets make. This place is fine if you're just looking for any afternoon onsen, but you'd be better served going somewhere else if you're looking for more.

I have stayed at Zuiho several times, and this time I stayed at Sakura Rikyu.・Good response from staff・You can enter your room smoothly from the reception desk without using an elevator or escalator.・It was spacious and comfortable even for 5 people.

It was great. The room was clean and you could freely drink drinks from the fridge. Alcohol was also available. The food was a buffet, but it was perfect. There was so much variety that it was hard to decide what to eat. You can drink freely in the lounge. This is a hotel I would like to visit again.

I have stayed in many hot spring hotels of the same type. The rooms here are relatively large and the decoration is a bit dated, but quite elegant.Dinner is a buffet with lots of delicious food. After dinner, you can have free drinks and some delicious snacks or desserts in the lounge. The food is the most recommended. The quality and portion are comparable to many hot spring hotels that offer one-night stay and two meals.

I went there by shuttle bus from Sendai station. When I got off the bus in front of Mizuho, a staff member had come to pick me up, so I had no hesitation and was guided to Sakura Rikyu. After checking in, I selected my loungewear and was guided by the staff to my room. It's a very spacious Japanese-Western style room! All the drinks in the refrigerator in the room were served and the champagne was kept chilled. When I went to the lounge, there was a wide variety of drinks, juices, and snacks, and in the evening, there were also hors d'oeuvres, so I enjoyed the drinks (*≧∀≦*) The dinner buffet was at Mizuho next door. It was a high quality buffet, the sushi was fatty, the crab was really filling, the steak and beef tongue were delicious, and it was the best buffet I've ever had! I didn't meet many people while walking around Sakura Rikyu. When I went to the lounge, it was very quiet with only about 4 people there. It was an inn that I would definitely like to come back to again.

As it was an anniversary trip, I went on a somewhat luxurious trip. Local sake (Japanese sake) was prepared as a welcome drink in the room. We had the buffet both in the morning and in the evening, and the quality was quite good! Also, in the lounge, you could eat ice cream (Lady Borden) anytime, and you could drink as much hors d'oeuvre and alcohol as you like. It was expensive during Golden Week, but I think it's a reasonable price for this service 😁
