The kindest owner I have met in Japan, which is saying a lot because everyone is so polite and nice. Also very clean rooms, comfortable futon, and a good location, perhaps a bit removed from the center of Uji, but a very nice neighborhood.Highly recommended to stay here.

In Uji City, you have to travel far to the outskirts to find a bed and breakfast.It has the shape of a classic Japanese house, and the rooms are of a reasonable size. Facilities such as washing and bathing are all shared. There is a smoking area.The owner is kind.

I stayed there on my way from Kyoto to Nara on my road bike, and I was able to park my road bike at the entrance. The Japanese-style room was clean and comfortable enough for a single person. There is a large refrigerator in the common space, and there is also a smoking area and laundry in the courtyard. Payment can be made via PayPay and must be paid in advance at check-in.The staff at the accommodation are also very courteous.

It is kept clean and very beautiful.There is only one shower room, and if you wait in line, it will be late and you will not be able to get into a rhythm.You can rent a parking lot for 600 yen per night.I can hear everything from other rooms.What I couldn't stand was that the mosquitoes kept coming up and I couldn't get rid of them, and when I crushed them, they were sucking blood, and I couldn't tell whose blood it was, so it was disgusting.I couldn't calm down because I was worried that I might get stung too.There was no insecticide available, but there was a mosquito repellent in the room and I used it, but it didn't seem to be effective.I wish I had left it on.There are only dryers with low power, so if you have long hair, it will take a long time to dry your hair.Other than that, I agree with what everyone else has commented.

Beautiful historic house with a lovely traditional garden. Specious common area with a full kitchen (range, microwave, large fridge, dish dryer. Complementary Green Tea & Coffee (yes, they do have single serve milk/cream pods and sugar for those of you who need it :-)) Spotless shower, toilet and bathroom areas. Stay comes with bath towel and a face towel. Four WiFi routers to connect to with plenty of outlets for all your electronics :-) Electronic access front door for 24hr access along with a room key. Tatami mats in rooms, hardwood floor in common areas. Japanese footon (firm) with duvet cover on top (very fluffy and cozy). One pillow, best for back sleepers. For Winter: heater in each room. For Summer: washi paper screens on windows so one can air out the room yet maintain privacy. Shower has both a body wash and shampoo inside. Everything one needs in a truly lovely house. The property is right next to a small temple; very suitable for a morning contemplation before setting out for the next leg of your journey. I highly recommend staying at this property.

I think people from overseas really like the atmosphere.The owner is from China.I don't think the price is that cheap if you stay without meals.Rooms facing the road are very noisy from cars.I thought I should stay on the second floor or in a room in the back with a porch.Even though I chose an expensive room expecting it to be quiet, I was disappointed that it was right next to the road.
