It was a great decision to stay here when going to Zao Onsen. It takes about 5 minutes by car to get to the so-called hot spring town, but even though it's a hot spring town, there aren't that many shops, so if you're looking to spend a lot of time relaxing at an inn, this hotel is highly recommended. You can also use the hot springs at the affiliated hotels for free as a day trip bath, so I tried the hot springs at the Shiki Hotel, but the hot springs at the Kokusai Hotel were better! The hot springs are very cool with wooden ceilings that give you a sense of history. On the other hand, the inside of the building is kept clean and the rooms have been renovated since 2019, so they are very comfortable. I was surprised that Yonezawa beef was served in the dish. Everyone was polite and the hotel was very comfortable.

Overall, I was satisfied with the stay, but the hotel didn't address my concerns.·roomIt was clean and comfortable, but perhaps the door separating the entrance and bedroom was poorly constructed, and could not be opened and closed smoothly. If you are a weak elderly person, it can be quite difficult.·serviceIt was nice that they took my luggage to my room and explained the inside of the building along the way, but they didn't tell me about visiting the hot springs at sister hotels unless I asked them (it's not written in the FAQ on their website). There is, but I don't think anyone would notice this except someone like myself who reads every detail of the website and reviews.)Also, although the website states that they do not provide transportation to the sister hotel Omiya Ryokan, they actually do.Probably, it seems that it is operated with one car, so it may not be done depending on the busy season or the number of customers. I guessed that, but I also thought it would be nice if they could tell me the days they were doing it first.Relatedly, when I asked about the time it would take to walk to the large open-air bath, they told me that they also provide transportation to and from the large open-air bath.To be honest, since the hotel is located on a hill in a hot spring town, I thought it would be better if the train ran on time and kept running all the time.·mealBoth dinner and breakfast were very satisfying, but the operation when entering the breakfast venue was not good. There was a tray (it was very wet) and tableware next to the entrance, and the staff told me, ``Please take the plate from there and eat your food. You can take your seat as you like.'' "Please take your seat first." I thought.(Cards are the bills in use at the table. They are placed at the entrance.)What should people do if they don't see the card because they don't have this guide? I was confused.・Inside the building2 coin laundry machinesThere is a vending machine (hotel price/Coca-Cola vending machine, so you might be able to use the ticket?)Free drinks and popsicles are provided in the morning and evening in the lobby, but ice lollies are limited to eating and drinking in the lobby. There are a wide variety of free drinks including juice, tea, coffee and tea.I stayed on a weekday after the holidays, when it was very hot and there was no sign of snow, so the price was low and it was a good hotel for the price. On the other hand, I probably didn't care. When I asked, they told me to tell them first or write it on the website.)

We stayed during the rainy season in July. When you enter your room, there are welcome sweets in the refrigerator. Although the sweets were small, I felt the thoughtfulness of the hospitality. The room was in dark colors. You can adjust the brightness to create the atmosphere you like. Also, the bed was a Simmons bed and was soft and I was able to get a good rest.It was a very nice accommodation where you could feel the attention to detail in every part!
