It's close to the station, so it's easy to get to Gion, Shijo, Arashiyama, and Kyoto Station. It's along the Hankyu line, so you can also go to Osaka ❗ There's a convenience store across the street, and a large supermarket is about a 4-minute walk, so it's very convenient.Since it was reserved for private use, I felt as relaxed as I was at home. The smell of the tatami mats is nice, and I was surprised by the abundance of amenities. This time I would like to come during the autumn leaves season✨(^_^)v

We stayed here for 3 nights for our Japan trip's Kyoto leg.The hosts were very nice, hospitable, and very accommodating. The host that I was communicating with on Priceline was very nice and could communicate in english very well. The place itself is very nice as it is a traditional Japanese home. Of course, it also had modern touches as well so that you're not disconnected from the comforts of the technological world. Wifi was fast! The place was also very clean. We went there on a cold December and the place was not lacking of heaters so that we could have comfortable nights. The hosts also had a lot of recommendations for places to try and visit should you ever need any help on that front.Overall, we had an amazing stay at this place and would recommend this listing to anyone who would like to visit and stay in Kyoto.

Rooms- There are 2 floors. The bedrooms are upstairs with 2 rooms + shared area where 3 people sleep. It sleeps in total 6 people confortable- The only downside is that there is one toilet, one shower which may be an issue for some people- The place also has a water dispenser, wifi, guides, a projector that has apple playService- Hiromi was an amazing host who was attentive, friendly and welcoming to usLocation- This accommodation is right opposite a decently sized 7eleven which was really good for meals!- It is also not that far walk from the nearest bus station

Have just spent several nights here and after roughly a month of travel the ability to self cater and eat simple foods can not be understated. Well equipped kitchen (could do with a couple of knives for buttering toast etc but that is a very minor thing). The host was very quick to answer all questions and very helpful. Washer / Dryer combo that is free to use was also a real bonus for us. We easily managed to get to all the main sights that Kyoto has to offer using this as our base. Highly recommend this Home stay.

Kyoto, 2023, Day 3Ok, after walking yesterdays Hi & Low, almost 9000 steps, which with my knees is a pain, especially on uneven surfaces, today is a day of rest & reflection!1st of all, it’s cold & wet (reminds me why I left Germany in 1978) it’s this drizzle that gets me, and the joints are aching! But als getting ready for an amazing seaside trip tomorrow at a world famous Sushi Restaurant, really looking forward to this!So today a bit about our stay in Kyoto! It’s a traditional guest house, and while I count how many times I hit my head, (really painful) it does remind me of our first stay at a Ryokan 40 years ago!Small, narrow, but incredibly clean, very traditional yet with all modern appliances that one needs to be self catering! It’s this kind of stay we most enjoy, uncomplicated check in, and you are in your own, in our case 5 days, reasonably priced, for what it is, the house is ours! 2 story, climbing the stairs a pain, but hell, it’s ours!A supermarket with outstanding quality produce inside a 7 minutes walk, and we cook/self cater as & when we feel like it! Perfect! Having worked 25 years of my adult life in hotels, and subsequently with my company stayed in some of the worlds best, at this stage of our life, simplicity rules!I can only recommend for those that aspire this kind of travelling/living, give it a shot! We love it!Located close to the city Center, we couldn’t have a better location, and for self driving it’s perfect with parking right at the house!Note by, the boss walked about and found an amazing temple & an even better Super Market just around another corner! She was so impressed with the pricing, I think we will get back home over packed, and it showed again how over priced we are in SG!Enjoy#travels #kyoto #japan #sakuraseason #excursion #guesthouseoneworldshijo

It was an old townhouse that had been beautifully renovated, and the inside was stylish and comfortable. There is a projector, washing machine with dryer, and kitchen supplies, making it very convenient for families, friends, and long-term stays. In addition, it's within a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Shijo-Omiya Station, close to JR Tambaguchi and bus stops, and has good access to sightseeing spots. There's a convenience store right in front of the door, so I didn't have any trouble finding a pharmacy or eating out.Above all, the staff were very kind and helpful in responding to various issues. Also, especially since I was traveling with an infant, it was more convenient and spacious than staying in a hotel room. The owner gave me a ride to the station, and he was a kind, caring, and powerful person, and it was an inn that I would want to come back to again.
