Traditional style place very well connected by transport. The room above is a bit small for five people but this flaw is compensated by the excellent quality/price ratio.Clean facility and well-functioning air conditioning.I would add a few more glasses and forks but otherwise a great place I would return to.

The location is also good as there are bus stops and subway stations nearby. It would be a good idea to ask the owner for directions to the subway station.They provided plenty of towels and cutlery, so there's no reason not to stop by next time you travel to Kyoto.

Lovely rooms at a convenient location. Lots of space to move around and sufficient amenities provided. We had a great stay and the host was amazing as well. :)

Location: ★★★The location is quite ambiguous. It's a long way to walk from Kyoto Station, and waiting for a bus can be quite long. It's right in the middle of the nearby stations, so you have to walk for about 10 minutes. The good thing was that Lawson 100 was only 1 minute away.Facilities: ★★★☆All the basics are there. There were quite a few basic things that you can't find in regular hotels, such as an induction stove, sink, cooking utensils, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee pot, air conditioner, air purifier, and hair dryer. It was disappointing that the shower room was small, like a capsule hotel, but it was nice that the bathroom was separate. However, I had to go to another guesthouse 30 seconds away to use the washing machine. Also, there was no soundproofing, so I could hear my neighbors' voices or cars passing on the road next to me. I slept with earplugs on.Cleanliness: ★★★☆The exterior looked old, but the interior was recently remodeled and was relatively clean. However, it was disappointing that there was about one flying insect flying around and an unknown black piece fell from the towel.Kindness: ★★★★★The seller was really friendly. Even when I asked about this and that, he responded quickly and even brought it to my accommodation when I said I didn't have a pig nose adapter.Overall Review: It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'll use it next time.

I made a reservation through a travel website, and I felt reassured by the polite email exchanges from the manager.The entrance had double doors and security was tight.I stayed on the first floor with my family of 3 and a 0-year-old child. The current trend is to renovate a one-room apartment, with a separate bathroom and eco-friendly hot water supply system, and a small home kotatsu in the kitchen and dining area.The room was newly built with 10 tatami mats and a futon, so I was able to sleep peacefully.Cleaning was thorough. It was cold and I had to turn on the air conditioner, so it was helpful to have a humidifying air purifier.We had a relaxing and enjoyable night.It was nice that there was a convenience store just to the east that also sold vegetables.The location was about 10 minutes walk from Tofukuji Station (Keihan & JR) to the east and Kujo Subway Station to the west.

I used it for 2 nights and 3 days.Although it was only one station from Kyoto and a bit of a walk from the station, it was nice that the station was less crowded so there was no noise and it was calm. There are no shops or places to eat nearby, but there is a convenience store so I didn't have any problems.The room was very clean and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. I think it's also good for those who want to cook a little as they have kitchen utensils. There was even a kotatsu, so I was able to stay comfortably and feel like I was at home.Self-check-in made it easy to feel comfortable, and the owner was courteous, even though we only communicated through messages.I still want to use it.
