The place is operated by extremely friendly and communicative owners. You can talk and learn interesting things. Easy communication in English, and if someone knows Japanese, they can practice in a pleasant atmosphere. Soft mattresses, great shared bathroom, Japanese style. A beautifully situated place, in a very atmospheric street, with good connections to the rest of the city.

We head towards Matsushima Inari Shrine through the approach, and there are many torii gates lined up from the bottom of the stairs to the shrine, making it a great spot for photos. It has a Japanese feel. You can also rent kimonos for a fee, so why not ask about it? The nearest station is Hotarujaya Station, so it's easy to plan your next day. Bath towel rental 100 yen. Disposable toothbrush 100 yen.

There are multiple ways to stay, but I stayed with a room rental plan. The room feels like a room in the countryside, with no drafts and the heating works well. There was another guest next door, but the soundproofing is such that you could hear him using the hair dryer, and you couldn't hear the conversation unless it was loud. The futon was soft and the sheets were placed above and below the body, so I felt that I could sleep cleanly. The size of the futon was such that my height was 180cm and I could barely wrap my legs in it.The toilets are clean and there are 3 in total. There was a sign saying there was only one washlet on the first floor. The shower is about 2 square meters in size, and half of it is a bath tub (which you cannot use), so you can use it comfortably without feeling claustrophobic. If you are Japanese, this is the size you are used to.I get the feeling that the building has been around for a long time, but it seems to be well maintained and doesn't look old or run down. I think it's also recommended for getting a taste of modern Japanese houses.Access: A short walk from Hotarutaya Station on the Nagasaki Electric Tramway. If you go from the road on the left when you see Royal Host from the station, the slope will not be too steep. I walk next to the graves, so I guess it has a bit of an atmosphere at night (lol). It's located inside the shrine's torii gate, so you may be confused at first, but just follow the signs and jump in.
