This is a historic hotel where Her Majesty the Emperor and Empress of the Heisei era stopped by.I stayed here with the intention of touring the National Stairway and the Seikan Tunnel Memorial Museum, which are only available here in Japan. Both are within walking distance from the hotel. On the day I stayed, there were two sightseeing buses in the parking lot, and unfortunately my room was on the hill side, but the view of the ocean from the bath was amazing.Basically, the check-in time at inns where you can enjoy hot springs and stay overnight with two meals is 6:00 p.m.Because hot springs are close to the sea, they have a high salt concentration.Hot springs with high salt content tend to rust everywhere in the bath, but this bath didn't have that problem and I thought it was well maintained. The open-air bath is so small that only one person can fit in it.It's fine to go in with two friends, but it's uncomfortable to go in with strangers. There is no sauna, so all you have to do is enjoy the bath and the view.Of course, most of the meals are seafood, so if you don't like seafood, this is not recommended. The only way to go by public transportation is to take the town bus from Sanmaya Station, which runs several times a day, but we recommend using the Wan-taku shared taxi operated by Sotogahama Town, as it is very convenient.A 1-hour taxi ride from Kanita Station on the Tsugaru Line to the hotel costs 500 yen per person. You can make reservations at 30-minute intervals from the Wantaku homepage. It seems that you can't make a reservation for the one-task free service unless a taxi is available, so if you have a fixed date, please make your reservation as soon as possible.

There was a shuttle service available at Shin-Aomori Station, but it was far away. The seafood bowl for breakfast was delicious.
