A former red-light district inn in KuroishiIt has a history of about 140 years, and back then it was operated under the name Shogetsuro.Although the building is old, it is kept clean and the proprietress is very personable. Kuroishi's snack town and restaurants are also within walking distance, making it a convenient location.

This is an irresistible inn for people who love retro and history.Of course it's old, but it's well kept, and although it's shared, it has a new toilet seat.I slept very well♪

Highly recommended for those who want to experience the way Japanese people lived in the past.Wi-Fi is available, the toilet is clean and has a washlet. I can live a normal life. The bathroom is small, so maybe one person at a time. The details are beautifully decorated and you can feel the care.

It is a former red-light district building and has a great atmosphere. There is no wifi, but there is a communal refrigerator on the second floor. The parking lot is in front of the inn. The hostess' response was wonderful.

Third time using it.Will definitely become a repeat customer.A very old inn. It seems that it was a red light district, so there are decorations that are not found in ordinary homes. When I first came here, I was shocked and thought it was a Yabe-juku, but I got used to it. It has the advantage of blowing away any negative aspects, such as a slanted floor or a shabby room. The second time I came, the toilet was clean. In the end, the hostess's personality and the delicious breakfast made us feel comfortable. Maybe in this day and age, the price might be the same as other places. It's nice to have a convenient inn that has everything, but I don't think it's easy to get that nostalgic atmosphere that can only be found here. Please keep it like this and continue.

According to what I heard, the design and construction was done by a shrine carpenter. It is a mystery that the corridor is shaped like a corridor surrounding the room. Since it is a garrison house in a snowy country, I think there was some ingenuity involved. When I stayed there, there were no other guests and the room was reserved.Next time, I would like to stay for a while when the cicadas are chirping. Please note that this is not recommended for those who do not understand history or culture.

My wish came true and I was finally able to stay the night.I went with my 1 year old and 3 year old children, and they were very happy with the apple juice they prepared for us.I am very grateful for your consideration in various other situations.Although the building itself is very old, it is a nice and tasteful inn.The gate, stairs, roof, hallway, and rooms all have a quaint feel, and I can't help but wonder how the people who lived here must have spent their time here.I had a hectic time this time, so I'd like to take it more slowly next time.thank you very much.

(October 2022)The building is a former red-light district and is showing its age, but it is kept in good condition. The room I stayed in was 8 tatami mats in size. It smelled like rushes.I stayed overnight without meals, but since it's a ryokan, they provided me with a futon.
