I came here in summer. Was okay. Onsen is not too special. The futon is so thin. Thinnest I've ever experienced, I had an absolutely bad night.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Hakkoda Ski Resort & couldn’t recommend the hotel more - the staff’s kindness, hospitality, and genuine care really exceeded all expectations and made our experience in Aomori a wonderful and memorable one that we will look back at with a lot of fondness. We wanted to give a special shout-out to the hotel staff (who moonlighted as our server during meals!) for his unbelievable kindness - thank you for going above and beyond to assist us in every way possible. Whether it was obligingly handling our early (yet last-minute) check-in with a smile, or helping us with the snow on our car when we were about to leave - you really made us feel warmly cared for throughout our entire stay. Massive, massive kudos - we could not be more grateful.Last but not least - please do try out the dining options at the resort - breakfast and dinner were totally scrumptious and incorporated a lot of delicious, seasonal local produce. We were unexpectedly snowed in during off-season but the scenery around the resort was achingly beautiful - I can only imagine how much more beautiful this place would be under a even thicker blanket of snow later during the winter season.

Great location if you are here for winter sports or to use the Cable Ropeway. ||Do not let the name Resort or Spa fool you – this is JAPAN & more like our basic skiers lodge! …

This hotel was quite a disappointment after reading the other reviews. The location is good if you want to take the Hakkoda ropeway which is subject to weather conditions, but other than that, there is close to nothing around.  …

Perhaps more commonly known by the title above (and thus not so easily found on Tripadvisor), we stayed here for five nights in March. …

We were here during the shoulder season. Minimal snow and no hiking. We used this hotel as a base to explore the Aomori Prefecture. The end of April was the perfect time to see the cherry blossoms around Aomori.  …

Love this place. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Stay included breakfast and dinner which are a delight with smorgasbord of local dishes. Perfect for days in the deep powder.

Great place to base yourself for skiing. Right by the ropeway. Simple hotel, no frills but comfortable and clean. Great staff.
