I'm interested in Buddhism and wanted to learn about the thoughts and teachings of the Soto sect. Also, since I'm a hot spring enthusiast, I went to Osorezan Bodhiji Temple and Shukubo, which I had always wanted to go to.Since it's a temple after all, that's the main focus, so I don't get any interviews about the hot springs, so maybe only those in the know know about it😊Photography is prohibited inside the museum, so do what you can.The lobby, rooms, and large public bath are all set up like a high-end inn, but we offer Buddhist vegetarian cuisine in the morning and evening, and we will be participating in the morning service starting at 6:30.There is a hot spring hut on the grounds, and anyone can enter by paying the entrance fee of 700 yen (as of October 2024) ♨️ It is a wonderful hot spring with rich sulfur! It's not a ryokan but a lodging, so you shouldn't go out in a yukata except at night, but yukatas, towels, toothbrushes, etc. are provided, and the large bath is equipped with shampoo and a hair dryer. As of October 2024, it costs ¥15,000 (cash only). You can call the temple and make a reservation, but it seems better to make an early reservation.By the way, if you are staying for several nights, there is a restaurant outside the temple grounds, and if you have a ticket to enter the shrine, you can come and go as you like. The family temple itself is only accessible from May to October (closed in winter)

The building is very beautiful. The public bath, guest rooms, and lobby were all comfortable to use without any problems. The food was bland as no animal products were used, but it was healthy and the portions were sufficient. We recommend the hot springs inside the temple grounds. It warms you from the core. They also responded politely to my phone calls for reservations. Please note that payment is only in cash! Speaking of greed, since it's a lodging inn, I'd like you to eat silently during the meal. I think it's a place to enjoy the tranquility, so I think it's okay to be a little stricter.

A long time ago, I came up the mountain listening to Miyuki Nakajima's ``Atai no Summer Vacation'' on my car radio. At that time, I made the foolish decision to stay in Aomori City, and have been looking for an opportunity to visit again ever since. This time, it's been a long time since I recorded "Atai no Summer Vacation" on MP3, and I'm back at Osorezan. This place was established as a lodging facility during the Osorezan Grand Festival, but general tourists can also stay there if there are rooms available. Please call the lodging house directly to make a reservation. Please note that this cannot be done via the internet.Since I visited in August after the big festival, there were not many guests, so I was able to rent out a large room that could accommodate about 20 people. The Shojin Ryori was delicious, and the provided chopsticks were available to take home. These chopsticks are still used to bring good luck before ``games''.There is also a large bath, making it a truly comfortable accommodation. There is also an open-air bath within the grounds. However, I had heard that bears often roam around the area, so I missed going in this time. This is homework for "next time."But I wonder when that will happen.

The inside of the lodge is very clean and looks like a small inn. This is not a facility for families with children, and it is very quiet due to its location. The food is vegetarian cuisine and generally delicious. However, when I stayed there, some of the boiled food was hard. Also, the miso soup was too strong and salty both in the morning and in the evening. The public bath was being renovated, so it was only available at night, and there were separate hours for men and women, so I couldn't really relax in it.Because I stayed overnight, I was able to take a bath in the outdoor bathhouse. However, the mixed bathing Hanazome-no-Yu gets quite hot at night and early in the morning because there are few users.Personally, I liked Yakushi no Yu at night the best.If you go to Mt. Osore, even if you don't stay overnight, it's worth taking a dip in the outdoor hot springs.

May 2024It's a very beautiful inn.The accommodation fee was 15,000 yen for 1 night and 2 meals. If you stay overnight, you can listen to a sermon at night. This time he was very interesting. His name was Naoya Minami. The way the Dharma was preached seemed to change from time to time.Of course, you can also participate in the morning shift. The food is plentiful. It seems that you can also get a second helping of rice.It was great to be able to enjoy the hot spring ♨️ at night when I stayed there.During the day there are many other worshipers, but at night there are only hotel guests. It was a weekday in May, so it was reserved.Anyway, sulfur is strong. What surprised me the most was that the silver accessories I left in my room were completely black when I woke up in the morning. Also, when I slept at night, I woke up many times because of the smell of sulfur. It is said that this sulfur causes electrical appliances to break down at a high rate. It's a great experience for one night. All amenities such as yukata and towels were provided.

I stayed with my son in May. When I heard that it was a lodging lodge, it seemed expensive, but the facilities were just as clean as a hotel. You can experience Osorezan that can only be experienced by staying overnight, such as eating meals together, waking up to the morning broadcast, and visiting temples. Above all, the quality of the hot springs is excellent. No wonder it was famous as a hot spring cure. You should definitely experience accommodation that is not in the service industry.

I stayed here on 2024/05/01.I called on April 17th to make a reservation, but they were not available. When I called on April 22nd, they answered the phone and I was able to make a reservation. It was 15,000 yen per person. The rise in prices is unavoidable due to the recent rise in prices. It's a very good lodging.

Although it is a lodging, the rooms are modern, spacious and clean. A large hot spring bath with excellent spring quality. What's more, the vegetarian cuisine is surprisingly delicious. When you hear a sacred place, you get a scary image, but it doesn't have that gloomy atmosphere at all. The hot springs in the old bathhouse on the grounds of Mt. Osore were also great.

It was really great to meet my ancestors and listen to their sermons. Minami-san, I'll see you again.
