September is both my husband's birthday month, and this year marks our 10th wedding anniversary. The two of us often go to hot spring inns, but this time we had a commemorative occasion, so we chose Kurokawa Onsen for the first time and got a little excited.First of all, when I told them that I would be checking in late, I was told that there would be no time to relax and dinner would be served first. Maybe they don't move the dinner time. I was disappointed that they didn't put the customer first, but rather put their convenience in mind as to why they contacted me.I was given a welcome drink when I checked in, but no one was working at the inn, and I was left alone for a while, so I didn't know what to do.I was shown to my room and booked a detached room, but it was connected to the front desk, so unlike what I had imagined, it didn't feel like a detached room at all.The hot spring is a bath attached to the room, and at the time of reception I was told to be careful because the source is hot, but when I entered it, it was lukewarm and the open-air bath was like a cold bath.・There are no tissues in the bathroom.・Shower head is low and difficult to wash. The food was average. The person in charge of the meal was a foreigner, and it was difficult to hear and his voice was so low that I couldn't even make out what he said.Breakfast felt like they were serving commercial prepared foods. Personally, it wasn't delicious.I have been to many hot spring hotels and inns, but I felt that the quality was low for this price. There are too many things that other hotels and inns have. Although I had chosen this inn with very good reviews, I was very disappointed.

To Iyashino Satoki Yashiki, an inn in Kumamoto PrefectureWe stayed there and had dinner and breakfast!Dine in a hearth with an atmosphere. It was greatThat's all I have left to say☺︎The atmosphere, taste, quantity of items, and customer service were all great!I'm very happy to be able to eat Kumamoto's ingredients in so many different ways! And you can get free refills of rice! lolThis is also great ♡I don't usually eat breakfast at home, but when I travelI wonder why I can eat so much~ (╹◡╹) lolIt's also our one year anniversary since we got married. They also prepared a cake ♡It was truly an inn that had everything ♡

When I stop by Kurokawa Onsen to take a bath, I always call in advance to check if it's open, and they were very nice and accommodating.I visited the open-air bath at 11:00, just as it was opening, and there was no one else there, so I was able to enjoy the large bath all to myself.Kurokawa Onsen's drop-in baths are often just one bath, but here (for men and drop-ins) you can enjoy four baths: an indoor bath, an oke-yu, a standing bath, and a manten-no-yu.It's fun to be able to hang around while holding onto a swing-like pole in the standing bath♪You can't see the full sky until nightfall, so this is a privilege only for guests staying at the hotel. It's a little far from the center, but that makes it even more immersive in the tranquility and nature of the remote mountains. I could hear the birds chirping as the river flowed, and I was able to take a relaxing bath in a natural environment surrounded by greenery.I walked from the bus stop to this place, and it felt good to walk along the clear stream. This was my first time visiting here, and I liked it so much that I would like to stay there next time. It's a wonderful place.Early July 2024

I forgot to specify this when making the reservation, but I was able to stay in the room I wanted, "Yamaboshi."As you can see in the photo, the open-air bath is large and tasteful, and there is a 120cm standing bath, which was great! The water was warm enough that I could enjoy it for a long time. The food was delicious (personally, I think the ice cream was better than the almond tofu for dessert)The problem was that the road along the way was narrow and I had to back up a couple of times to give way to each other without passing each other.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this onsen ryokan.||Hospitality: The staff came to the carpark to greet us as soon as we arrived. We waited at the bar area with green tea. The reception staff could communicate well in English. …
