Perhaps because it was a weekday, the service from the employees was terrible. Especially men. In the parking lot where there were only a few groups of guests staying, their names were checked many times. The next day, I was served by two men, but they acted and spoke like high school students.I had a child, so when I asked for various things, I was shocked (tears) when I was asked, "Are you okay?"I spilled a drink on the floor, talked in the back without mopping it, and ended up stepping on it on the way home. When I called when checking out, they hung up.Although the facilities and scenery were nice, it was a waste, and the customer service was worse than a business hotel.

We had a wonderful stay during our trip to Kurokawa. From our initial email correspondence, their reply has always been prompt and accommodating, as i needed to make changes to the food. From the moment we arrived, the staff were there to welcome us and they made us feel homely. The room was great and we especially love having the private pool & onsen to ourselves. The food was delicious and we were so full from each meal. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the lady's who attended to us at dinner, but her smiles and thoughtfulness in explaining each dish made us feel so warm and welcome. Thank you!:)We had a relaxing time here and wished we could stay longer. Hope to come back again soon in the future with our little one!

Although it is brand new and has high-quality facilities, it does not have the value of a high-class hot spring. I will never go there again. …

I stayed in a quiet detached house, but it was wonderful with lots of nature in front of the heated pool.

Very good experience! Location is far away from city, recommend to drive but the inside of the hotel is awesome! Staff are very friendly, food is nice, they got game room for a bit of leisure after dinner. If the weather is good, can watch the STARS from their recommended spot, the man there will explain the stars situation. Room comes with the osen, hot enough and very peaceful with overseeing the river and forest. Definitely recommend.

Style.ryokan with a new modern annexSetting.Fabulous mountain village by Oda river and rice terraces, beautiful area even when I arrived in torrential rainExplore.Halfway between mount Yufu & mount Aso. Booked this hotel as wanted to stay at nearby Takefue which was fullRooms.I was in 水影(みかげ). My brand new room (hotel annex opened Oct 23) was well designed, airy & spacious, with a hot spring pool and open air bath overlooking the forest, a perfect haven to chill out while listening to babbling Oda river. With heated wooden floors, great amenities, they thought of everything to provide a comfortable stay including even ladies menstrual items. Clothes provided were comfortable especially the plush winter coat.@ the hotel.Excellent service. Someone came out to get me from the car in the pouring rain when I arrived. Super fast efficient check in & etcFood & drinks.Food was a real disappointment here especially compared to my meals at Myoken Ishiharaso. Mediocre quality at best and while presentation was decent (was surprised to be given disposable chopsticks), by the time the sashimi was served I knew what to expect of the rest of the kaiseki courses. Ask for coffee with milk and you’ll end up with the liquid instant creamer that comes in little plastic containers.Prices.$564 for two. Half boardRating.4/5(3/5 for the food and 5/5 for everything else)

Although we were staying with an infant, we were treated with kindness. Both the room and the food were very satisfying.I also felt that the hospitality was high.I would like to use it again in a different season.
