After driving around Autopolis, I searched for an inn with an open-air bath in the rooms not far from the trailhead in preparation for climbing the Kokonoe Mountain Range the next day, and ended up here.I stayed in a detached house and the view was amazing. The weather was nice, so the sunset and the sea of clouds the next morning were amazing. The room felt a little old. There were stains from rain and air conditioner leaks on the walls in some places, the TV was too small for the size of the room, and there were no outlets near the bed...I was a little disappointed. It was nice to be able to use the open-air bath attached to the room anytime. I thought it would be cold in winter because the washing area is outside.Meals will be served at the restaurant in the main building.Everyone had a set start time for dinner at 6pm and breakfast at 8am, and it felt like the food was prepared in bulk and served in order from the seat in front of us.The portions were just right for us seniors, but may not be enough for younger people. The quality is average. It was delicious, but it would have been nice if the presentation could have been a little better. The young person who served me had a great smile and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably.I've been to a few private baths, but they're a bit disappointing because they're poorly constructed. The overall feel is like a luxury inn.I thought the cost performance was a bit poor compared to the inns I usually go to.

Both the hot springs and the food were good. I'm sure there are pros and cons to eating seafood in the mountains, but I think it's totally worth it. My companion was also satisfied. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff at the inn are all very nice and wonderful.

This is my second stay here.Everything is great. The stars were so beautiful and we even saw satellites. The open-air bath in the guest room is the best. The food is also great. The mixed bathing Sennin-yu is also a spectacular view.Rent a bathhouse and enter. You can use the private bath as much as you like 24 hours a day.I went there more than 10 times during my stay. Moreover, the quality of the spring water is good and will make your skin smooth. This is a ryokan that feels like a villa where you can instantly feel the fatigue of everyday life.I want to go there once a month!

I stayed there for a couple trip in early August.Rooms with open-air bathsYou can see the steam and the location is great.the bestThe hot water is also very soft.I don't feel like itThere are plenty of family baths as well, so you can use them as much as you want.Of course mixed bathing tooI visited 7 locations 10 times in one night. You can see the steam rising from the sunset during your meal.I had a relaxing time in a private room.Funamori sashimi, Ise lobster sashimiHorse sashimi, red beef steak, etc.Everything is delicious and your stomach is full.Everything about breakfast was filled with the gentle deliciousness of steamed vegetables.Everyone was nice, especially the landlady. It was an inn with good people, hot water, good food, and a nice view.

Oguni Town, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture.Stayed at Ryokan Sansui, a hot spring bath in Waita Onsenkyo. When it comes to hot springs in Kumamoto, Kurokawa Onsen is the most famous, but in fact Waita Onsenkyo is also a popular hot spring village that is always ranked among the top in Kyushu. Here at Sansui, you can enjoy hot springs including an open-air bath, 7 private baths, and a mixed bathing open-air bath (the open-air bath has a spectacular view as it faces a hill at an altitude of 750 to 800 meters), and the food is particularly reputed for its deliciousness. Although it is often associated with Aso's mountain products, seafood is gaining popularity. The landlady's family home is Amimoto in Amakusa, and they manage the horse mackerel, amberjack, turban shell, sea bream, and Isekai sea bream delivered directly to them in a large ikesu at the entrance.Personally, I think it's reasonable at around 17,000 yen per person on weekdays, and the rooms come with open-air baths, so there's nothing to complain about.menuAppetizer: Steamed chicken with tomato vinegarAppetizer Seafood marinadeTuna raw hamChara FukiAutumn leaves wheat glutenroasted duck meatSashimi Amakusa fresh fishSmall bowl of corn tofuSteamed Western-style steamed shrimp and cheeseGrilled vegetables and fish with oil and miso cheeseBoiled winter melon bunFried food: fried potato with mint sauceTableware: Red beef steakRice dish Akigeshiki from OguniPickles, handmade pickles by the landladySoup Red soup stockDessert soft serve ice creamAll of the dishes are small and elegantly portioned, but they are all well-crafted and delicious. The chawan mushi with shrimp, cheese, and tomato was especially impressive. I felt that they were particular about the handmade pickles, and the soft serve ice cream for dessert was a perfect example of Aso.For breakfast, we were served steamed vegetables that exceeded our expectations. The special curry flavored sauce was also delicious.Thank you for the meal♪

I had a sudden day off, so I made a reservation 3 days in advance from a certain travel site.I often go to the Hage-no-Yu area, but this is my first time staying at this inn.It was a heavy rainy day, but when I went there, I had to walk all the way from the parking lot to the front desk, getting wet on the slope. The woman who greeted me at the front desk was very bright and cheerful and made me feel comfortable. When I made the reservation, only the main building was available, so I had no hesitation in choosing it, but if it was a separate building, it would have been even more difficult to move around due to the heavy rain. When I went to put my baggage in my room, it was a mess! !There was a smell of incense everywhere in the building, but when I entered the room, I realized that it was actually a smoking room. There is a large ashtray in the middle of the table. It says to take care not to leave a smell in the room, but how do you suck it up so that the smell doesn't remain? lolThere aren't many hot spring hotels that allow smoking these days, so I forgot to select non-smoking when searching for a reservation. However, I am a former smoker, and for people who smoke, it must be blissful to be able to smoke in your room whenever you want when you come to a hot spring. It is unknown whether this inn has non-smoking rooms. After that, I immediately went to the private bath on the first floor of the main building. There were several bathrooms, lined up side by side. It was brighter in the front, and darker the further you went. There is no time limit, so you can enjoy it at your leisure, and the good thing is that you can enter 24 hours a day. However, there were some sharp rocks and stones in the bathtub, so I cut my butt (lol).I think it would be better to do some maintenance.Dinner is at the restaurant on the first floor. It was almost a private room, but it was so noisy that it bothered me (lol)That's because in the tatami banquet hall next door, about 20 to 30 women were having a party, and it was already getting noisy. It was large enough to accommodate so many people.GaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaWell, I can understand that you are happy, fun, and excited. It was a little too much.host? I also heard from a man likeI'm not sure. The meal was called Sansui Kaiseki, but the portion was quite small.Although the taste is very good, everything is too small and may not be enough for young people.I haven't checked if there are any other plans, but if there is one with more items and quantities, I would recommend that.Although they did not recommend it, the people in the next room also asked for refills of their rice.As with the breakfast, everything was pretty stingy, even the condiments, so we didn't enjoy it at all. There are only a few green onions and parched pieces (lol)Also, I heard that the landlady's family home was in Amakusa and Amimoto. There was a large ikesu, but the gorgeous boatload included sashimi of sea bream, amberjack, horse mackerel, and cuttlefish. It's probably a farmed product since it's used at Ikesu, but considering the content and amount of sashimi, only the funamori bowl was flashy, so it was unbalanced. Some people may be excited, but as someone who works in the fish industry, I was pretty disappointed. Also, the old man at the front desk. Is it your husband?I saw him when he went to the bathroom during dinner, and I understand that he was busy making reservations, but what's with that dishonest attitude? Why not walk around the facility wearing socks or slippers instead of bare feet? After dinner, I went to the baths located across the street from the main building. For some reason, I passed a group of boys who looked like high school or college students, but I was impressed when they greeted me loudly. The bathroom here seemed to be under renovation or construction.I thought that instead of building something new and flashy, I might as well repair the bathroom downstairs.I met the proprietress at checkout on my way home, and she was a normal person with a sharp demeanor.I had ordered various things for dinner, such as juice, beer, and horse sashimi, so I paid the bill, but I was told that credit card payments were not accepted for specially ordered items (I had paid for my stay by card in advance).Everyone Beware.I guess the whole inn is dirty...On the way to the bathroom, I could see what looked like junk on the other side of the wall.Full sense of life.Other than that, there is nothing worth mentioning in terms of bad points. All I can say is that I won't go again. The only thing that impressed me was the three staff members I met (two women and a young man). All in all, he spoke clearly and cheerfully, his shouts were clear, and his smile made a very good impression.Honestly, I thought it was a waste to work in a place like this.

Unfortunately, it was raining so we couldn't see much of the view from the room or bath, but there were many baths and there was a family bath that you could use 24 hours a day without a reservation, and the open-air bath in the room was nice. The food was delicious, especially the red beef and rice.Personally, I would like to come back again on a nice day.
