Second visit in 3 years.It's my favorite inn, so I'm relieved that they're continuing to operate despite the coronavirus pandemic ☺️The appeal of Magnolia is the fresh seafood!Seki horse mackerel, abalone, spiny lobster, etc. caught in Saganoseki and Saeki...The tuna is cut into large pieces and has a crunchy texture that melts in your mouth.The spiny lobster is served with miso soup later, and this miso soup is the best.Homemade miso also goes well with rice.Miso was available for takeout, so I ordered it without hesitation🫶It was packed well in a bottle!There are 4 baths available for private use, 2 indoor baths and 2 outdoor baths.The slightly ocher-colored hot water leaves your skin smooth and very comfortable.There was a pot of cold water in the room, but apparently it was water from Yufuin, and it was so delicious that I drank it instead of the alcohol I had bought (lol).The employees had nice smiles and were polite, and I was healed by the warm customer service from the time we met them to the time we saw them off☺️I will come back next year with an empty stomach!

The response from the old man who seemed to be the manager was the worst in many ways.He likes to talk and has a soft tone, but all he hears is nagging us and other customers, which makes me feel uncomfortable.My hand was injured and I had it wrapped in a bandage, but the bandage was dirty and it got on the food when I was serving it and it was disgusting.The inn is older than the photo.It seems that the only things that have been renovated are the entrance side exterior and the toilet.The tatami mats and floor were sagging in some places.The men's loungewear has a very musty smell and I don't think I noticed it during the preparation stage.The food was delicious and the other staff were also nice.

I had previously canceled a reservation due to an unfortunate incident.I had no choice but to pay the cancellation fee, but I was told that I could not cancel at the inn, so I had to do it online.When I went online, I found that it was only possible to cancel at the inn, so I immediately called the inn. After waiting for several minutes, it was around 5 o'clock the day before, and it was canceled on the same day...If you don't have to wait, you will pay 75%, but if you cancel on the same day, it becomes 100%...The service over the phone was also poor and I have no intention of using them in the future.

I had made a reservation from outside the prefecture, but due to the snow, the transportation to get to Oita and the expressway were also closed, so I had to cancel.I informed the inn about this, but after repeatedly explaining that there would be a cancellation fee, they said that once I paid the cancellation fee and made a reservation for the next month, the cancellation fee would be refunded.Before I made a reservation for the next month, I called and told them about it just in case, but they forgot about it.After several explanations, I finally got the person above to talk to me, and as a result, I was able to make a reservation and receive a refund of the cancellation fee.The dinner dishes were luxurious and delicious, but there was no explanation of the dishes, which felt like a waste.There was no place that looked like a front desk, and the room was very old and the customer pot was covered in dust and dirty.Is the open-air bath really fed by natural hot spring water?Is the hot water not coming out, just lukewarm water being stored in the bath tub? It was not good because of the mysterious structure.The staff are not bad people, but overall the cleaning and service were not good enough, and I felt that the problem was with the management.This is a hotel with no repeat guests.

It was very disappointing.When I arrived at the inn, there was no parking lot and I didn't know where to park.When I entered the inn, I found the entrance like a normal house, with few shoe racks and a small desk at the front desk where you had to press a button to call the staff and wait.The room this time was right next to the entrance, and when I was shown around, it was hot because there was no air conditioning.After that, even though the air conditioner was on, it didn't cool down even when I lowered the temperature, and when I looked at the filter and air vent, it was dirty and there was an error code, so when I looked it up on the internet, it said it was malfunctioning, so I told the staff and they turned the power off. All I had to do was unplug it and force the error to clear. I guess I left the malfunction unattended because I felt like I was used to it. I also felt that. After that, even with the air conditioner on, it still didn't feel cool, so I kept the windows open. It was still good since it was around this time of year, but since summer is coming, I hope the air conditioner will be changed by the time the next customer comes.There was a small live centipede in the toilet, which made me nervous.The dinner was plentiful and good, but I was disappointed in the lack of menus and explanations. Same for breakfast.When I went to the open-air bath made of cypress, there was something like oil floating in it, which made me uncomfortable. I was told that all the baths were private, but I was concerned about hygiene.When I checked out, I was asked to contact the front desk, so I tried to contact them, but I couldn't get through. I was really disappointed that there was no way to see me off after checking out.

My husband and I stayed for one night on the Seki Aji Ise Shrimp Wagyu beef plan.[Guest room]It was clean, but the mattress was thin and one of the pillows was crooked and uncomfortable. The TV is small so be careful if you have poor eyesight.【Facility】There was no front desk and it was a guest house style.(We will prepare futons for you)Although it was a bathroom, the hot springs were very comfortable and relaxing. However, the water pressure in the shower was weak and although it was said that the water was flowing directly from the source, I feel that the open-air bath does not have free flowing water.【cooking】The Seki Aji I was looking for this time was very delicious! Another thing I was looking forward to was the spiny lobster, which I expected to come out as sashimi, but it was boiled instead. Only 1 slice per person... A spiny lobster head was decorated, but when I took a picture of it, it was immediately taken away and said, ``I'll use it for miso soup.'' There were only a few spiny lobster heads in the miso soup, and I wondered if the collected heads were being reused to decorate other customers.【service】All the employees are cheerful. You can choose to have dinner at 6:00 or 6:30. 6:30 was a good time, but those who arrived early were asked to arrive at 6:00.
