This is my first time visiting. The staff was kind and easy to talk to. The hot water felt good. The food was delicious.

The hot springs are simple, slightly alkaline hot springs that have no taste and are tasteless and odorless, making them suitable for everyone. Personally, I prefer something with a little more flavor. I also thought it was a good system to have all 5 baths reserved for private use, and to be able to check usage status using a QR code. The food at this inn, including meat and fish, is all delicious and is very reasonably priced.

I used a single room, but the sofa and floor carpet were dirty. It was dirty, but it couldn't be washed, so the stains were still there. The overall cleanliness was questionable and the bed was seriously uncomfortable. It's not flat and has a lot of protruding parts, so I couldn't sleep or rest on the floor 😢 My back hurts. Please change the bed..However, it took about 8 minutes to walk from the station, it was easy to find as it was right on the main street, and the open-air bath was great in the cool weather.

The hotel looks nice in the photos and at first glance our room looked perfect, but we were really disappointed in our choice of accommodation in Yufuin IyoTomi.1) One of our beds was broken and had broken springs that made the bed difficult to sleep in.2) We had splurged on a private onsen, but for some reason all the hot water to our room (and the onsen) was cut off at 7PM and did not return the same night or in the morning. Our onsen was on the street side and while visually private we could hear every word by people walking by on the street.3) The kaiseki dinner had a hurried feel and even though many of the courses were well made it was the worst kaiseki we've had so far in Japan.4) Our complaints on the water were not recognized and the hotel claims that we did not know how to operate the hot water tap.I strongly suggest booking one of the other places to stay even though the photos look amazing.

I used the hot spring on the day, and the bathing fee was 500 yen and towel rental was 200 yen! (The towel is very small, so I recommend bringing it with you.) I went during lunch time on a weekday and used the open-air bath by myself, and it was nice because the open-air bath was pretty and there was a gentle breeze… However, since it was an open-air bath, there were things like leaves floating around. Other than the open-air bath, the facilities felt like local bathhouses, so I thought it was a good idea to take a bath on the day rather than stay overnight!

This was the accommodation where I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. It was within walking distance from Yufuin Station or the bus terminal. The accommodation was clean and felt like it was in the woods. However, it was disappointing that the entire room was too small and that I could not use the bathhouse whenever I wanted. And I was reluctant to share indoor shoes. So I liked the friendly service of the staff.
