Lovely authentic Japanese house in beautiful country side.The owner is a nice man who speaks good English and takes good care of the house.In addition to the shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, that there are 3 rooms with futon beds, separated by a thin paper wall. Each room can host 2 to 3 guests.If rooms are full, you can hear everything as if there was no separation. I could literally hear people whispering.The owner offered me to use a scooter for free during my 2 days stay, which is awesome.There are some nice hikes to do in the area. The hike along the river to the Inukai JR station 15km away was amazing (there are closer JR stations).You'll love this place if you are looking for an authentic experience in a quiet rural setting.

We decided to spend a day in the countryside of Kyushu/Oita area, to understand better the life in the countryside and to have more contacts with the Japanese people and we don't regret our choice. The owner is a really lovely person. He came to pick up us at the train station and we went to a big supermarket to buy some food for dinner that we cooked in his kitchen. The apartment is really big and we shared it with another couple from Europe, but we had our room to sleep with typical Futon Mattress. As was really cool outside when we visited, the owner gave us some heaters. The day after he send us around with his car to see parks, waterfalls, and other interesting places around the area and drove us also to Oita to take the train to Fukuoka. Really suggested for people who like the countryside and want to have contacts with locals, things difficult to have in the big cities.

It's on the mountain side, so I wonder if this road is suitable...? It was in a place where I felt that way.I stayed with my family, including my children, for one night, and it was quiet and comfortable, and the owner was very kind, and I didn't feel like I was being too familiar or rude at all.Regarding toilets, baths, and beddingIt was very comfortable to use.The prices were low and I think we had a really relaxing and calm time.I would definitely like to use it again the next time I come to Oita.

On Wednesday, November 8, 2013, it rained on the way to Mt. Aso, so I made a reservation through Agoda and stayed for 3 days.It's a very quiet place.The facilities are also very clean.The owner is also very friendly.When touring throughout Japan, this is the first place that offers a single room at such a low price.The access road is a bit narrow.The owner lends me a small scooter and tells me to go to the supermarket in front of the station.I am anxious because the price is low.2013年11月8日水曜日、It is possible to move between mountains and move around in the middle of the rain.The main form is silent.It's okay to say something.It's okay to see it.It's all over Japan, and it's the first time.Enter the road and take small steps.On the small side, on the other side, on the street, on the street, on the street.値段が安くて不安だ。

The owner is a nice person and the prices are reasonable.There are just a few things I'm concerned about, one being the cleaning of the room. It's good that the building is old, but I was concerned about the hair and food spills left on the floor.Also, there were two groups staying at the hotel at the time, including me, and the rooms were right next to each other with sliding doors in between. You can hear your voice even if you speak quietly. I understand if the room is full, but there were other rooms available, so I would have been happy if I could have gotten a room further away.

It's already three years ago, but I visited this guesthouse when I was traveling alone around Kyushu. The road leading to the accommodation was narrow and difficult to find, and I mistakenly thought it was the new house next door (^_^;) However, the owner and his wife were warm and welcoming. It felt like home and was so comfortable that I ended up staying for a week even though I was only there for one day. During that time, I was very happy to be guided around shrines and hidden hot springs. I would like to go again someday.

Everyone, although it is written as an old folk house, it is definitely not an old folk house.It's just a house in the countryside lol.The place was difficult to find, so when I first went there,“Is it really in a place like this?”It feels like...When you use it, you'll be satisfied, or rather impressed!First of all, the owner's personality is nice, or rather, he's too nice lolAlso, it's too cheap lol.Thank you very much for your help.I had to cook for him for several nights at work, and I would definitely use him again!Also, lastly, I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused to the canoe that was being used at the same time lolthank you very much!

The road is narrow and the location is difficult to find.However, it is very comfortable for a guest house, as each group is in a Japanese-style room with futons, and you can also use the bathtub instead of bunk beds.The owner was friendly and it felt like I was visiting relatives.

It's an old folk house in an old village, so it's very difficult to locate. It's a large old private house and the rooms are quite nice. You can also cook your own dinner. Cooking utensils, tableware, and seasonings are all provided as long as you buy the ingredients. Reservations for breakfast are OK. Feel like you're staying with relatives in the countryside!
