I went there on the autumn equinox day for my silver wedding anniversary, but the chef was a Tibetan who had trained in NYC, and the seasoning was too sweet and the food tasted monotonous, which didn't suit Japanese tastes. Although the facilities are nice, I'm disappointed.

The chefs cook the food directly from nearby fields, so it's fresh, and since it's only available at that time of year, you can enjoy it as many times as you like.

I was staying with an overseas president and his family of 7 people, and the staff didn't see anyone off when we left. I don't have a word to say thank you. When the Japanese customers left, several staff members came out and thanked us loudly. I said that as I saw him off. I was surprised at the discriminatory attitude.I warned the staff, but they didn't reply at all to say sorry, they seemed dazed. The president still wants to come, but after encountering something like this, he told me not to come again! It was very disappointing.

This is a wonderful place that we were told opened six months ago. They also said we were the first non-NYC Americans to visit. The villas have private onsen with beautiful views of the serene mountains and surroundings. Chef Tashi Gyamtso is incredibly attentive and provides incredible meals at breakfast and dinner. Also gave us a great tour of the farm.

This time, I made a reservation for my birthday and stayed one night at ``HILL SIDE WATER VILLA'' with my family.The room was spacious, and there was a heated pool and an open-air bath in the room, so the view was very relaxing.I think it's probably the perfect place to spend your leisure time.There seems to be a sauna on a hill, but I couldn't enter it without a reservation this time, but when I went for a walk in the morning, the view was great, but the slope is quite steep, so be careful! ^^Also, I was kindly shown around the largest room, but the balcony? I think this grade is sufficient as long as the (wood deck part) is not too particular about the width.Their main selling point is probably home-made vegetable-based dishes, which is fine for breakfast, but there are way too many vegetables for dinner! ! ! That's about it! It says.Of course, it's all about vegetables, so it's not that filling! I can't say that, but I think it's enough. . .Finally, we were given a ride to Yufuin Station in a Bentley 4WD, which was a great memory! ! ! ^^

Gorgeous hotel with an excellent restaurant. It’s expensive, and somewhat proudly so. Weirdly; despite its awesome location overlooking the valley, most rooms do not even point that way. Also, no gym. But a beautiful facility.

Beppu is a 30 minutes drive awayRooms.My room (202) had a semi outdoor hot spring which I soaked in while listening to the rustling of leaves, it wasn’t quite as hot as I would like but maybe they dialed down the temperature because of me. There was an unexpected and calming rock plant in the sleek room.@ the hotel.Tranquil vibe. Sustainably minded amenities, no single use plastics. Loved the super thoughtful staff here too.Food & drinks @ Restaurant Jimgu.A beautiful, creative, & whimsical farm driven tasting menu served on exquisite tableware, paired with interesting sake, wine & etc picked by Makoto Tominaga, even peppermint tea was above par as were from freshly plucked leaves. I came for the famed farm-driven experience, and was pleasantly surprised from start to finish.You get a taste of Enowa’s original produces as soon as you receive the welcome drink at the lobby. All the produces and courses were distinctively only-here-only-now. I think it is perfect for all foodies, nature loving, and health conscious diners. Especially those who has graduated from caviar truffle uni wagyu courses.The menu is not vegetarian, but the spotlight is directly on the farm produces. There is a whole new world of possibilities when you have direct control of the farm, growing for taste, and timing the harvest precisely for texture. I left very satisfied as an omnivore.I stayed at the hotel room, the finish is still sparklingly new. I would say it’s a touch above what one would expect at a 5-star, in terms of quality of amenities and equipments. Relaxing in the open air bath listening to the sound of nature was extremely luxurious. Overall a quiet, out of your way style of service. A great luxury stay.My only minus point is on the size of the breakfast. It’s delicious, and would be more tasteful if the portion is smaller.The team is young and energetic, I am very much looking forward to the next visit.

I stayed one night at Hill Side Water Fall Villa with my girlfriend. The cart led us to a villa on a hill with views of Mt. Yufu and the cityscape of Yufuin. If you think of it as an auberge, it's spacious enough and has calm furniture and settings that aren't too fancy. After refreshing ourselves in the open-air bath and pool, we headed to the restaurant. Comfortable seating that allows you to concentrate on your meal and conversation, and inventive dishes served at a pace that doesn't interfere with the conversation. The pairing choices I requested were amazing and I forgot that time had passed since 4 hours had passed.After returning to the room, I relaxed in the pool again and fell asleep. The breakfast with butter and all homemade ingredients was also great. However, if you think of it as an auberge without the view or the pool, ROOMS might be enough.

We stayed for one night at HILL SIDE WATER FALL VILLA, which is the second grade from the top.The room is spacious and has plenty of amenities.When I went there, there were two types of juice and one type of beer in the refrigerator.There was no additional charge for drinking these.There were also mineral water and coffee capsules.There is a hot spring bath and an infinity pool on the balcony.The pool is heated and is not cold at all.Since the room is bright, it is inevitable that insects will come in from the balcony.As a countermeasure, it was good that the room had insect repellent (vape).Dinner and breakfast were included, but first of all, the amount of dinner was not enough.If I'm not mistaken, there were 14 items lolNaturally, each item was served one by one, so it took about 3.5 hours to eat everything.However, since the main focus is on vegetable dishes,I never got full and couldn't eat halfway through the meal.The amount of breakfast is also amazing.Breakfast, unlike dinner, comes out all at once.The focus is on vegetables and fruits, and dessert is also served at the end.Each room is a little far from the reception and you will have to use a cart to get around.You can also walk, but it's a good exercise as there are many hills.Because it is a little far from the center of Yufuin, there is no hustle and bustle.You can enjoy hocance slowly.The hospitality of the employees is also great, so this is a highly recommended hotel.
