I had lunch at their restaurant, I enjoyed gnocchi and spinach ravioli, delicious desserts from French patisieri. You can feel the quality ingredients and good utensils. And of course a beautiful view of the lake. I'm so glad to find this restaurant in Bedugul.

What a unique and beautiful experience. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Bali. We ended up extending our stay because it was so nice. The hosts were fantastic, welcoming and amazing chefs. I felt right at home. I feel like I was visiting family in the mountains rather than a hotel.We will definitely be back one day.The house felt like our own personal cabin in the woods where you go to escape and relax. Of course with that also means it is an isolated location, but that is to be expected with such a quiet, serene place. The only difference I would do next time is go do a grocery shop before I arrive so I have supplies with me as the local town does not have so many shops.

Having a meal at the Secret Lodge is like going for lunch at a friends’ house, only Stéphanie cooks way better than my friends! Her food is as generous as she is, made with beautiful fresh ingredients and reminiscent of the French flavours I grew up on. Luck has it she’d tried out a duck Parmentier the day we were there.. I hope for all our sakes it makes it to the menu, that’s how delicious it was!! Also recommend the pork rillettes, authentic and heartwarming.One important note is the perfect temperature of the restaurant, which we really appreciated given how cold it can get in the mountains.I can’t wait to try Manon’s beautiful (and not too sweet) desserts tonight, as Secret Lodge delivers in the nearby area.. which is perfect for a dinner en amoureux.While we haven’t slept there, Ludo gave us a tour of the rooms, including their most recent one and the little spa. You can see he really puts his heart into making the place truly comfortable with quality fixtures.The location is great, sunny with beautiful views of the lake and volcanoes. And, rare in the area, it is tucked away in nature far from the road!! Which comes at the price of struggling a little to find it (don’t believe the first Google indication, stick to the main road along the Pancasari pasar and go up the mountain) but totally worth it!!

One of our greatest travel experiences. Stéphanie, Ludo and Manon welcomed us very warmly and took great care of us throughout our stay. The view of the pretty garden and the lake is splendid. All the meals we enjoyed (breakfasts and dinners accompanied by Manon's sumptuous desserts) are excellent, homemade and prepared with quality products. Our only regret is not having stayed longer. Thanks for everything.

Wonderful place to relax and also ideal for going on excursions. Great view, very well maintained house with a beautiful garden. Stephanie is a gifted cook, Mano is an excellent dessert and cake baker. Ludo gives valuable excursion tips. 100% recommended!

I discovered this place while searching for dog-friendly spots since it was my dog's birthday month. It was our first trip taking them somewhere further away, and it turned out to be the best decision! The place is absolutely wonderful, and the people there are amazing—especially Ludo and Stephanie. Even though our visit was just a short daytime stay, it was a perfect escape into nature with some peaceful moments. The farm-to-table menu was simple but delicious. They cater to any needs or requests; for instance, they helped us with our big English bulldog, who is scared of stairs, by offering a big box to assist him. Ludo and Stephanie are such a fantastic couple, and their sweet place, Secret Lodge, is just perfect. We can't wait to return soon!
