I used it on my bike the night before climbing Karamatsudake. First of all, the location is perfect, right in front of the roadside station Hakuba. The price is reasonable for Hakuba. The staff's response was average, neither good nor bad.The truth is that guests started moving around in the washroom in the middle of the night and early in the morning, and I couldn't sleep well because of the noise. But I think I'll use it next time as it's not possible in Hakuba at this price.

The ease with which you spend your time depends on the customer at the time, so compromise is necessary. There are almost no problems, but sometimes when students or young groups come, I feel like I'm missing out. Some people stay in the living room for a long time, but if you don't mind sharing a table, it's not a problem.

I stayed there for the first time in 15 years, and I used to be a regular. The customer base has changed a lot, and the Japanese customers have become less moral. Foreigners have more morals. I think it's good etiquette for people who scatter their luggage all over the aisles, occupy the dining room table for long periods of time, or who snore badly to avoid choosing a dormitory. There is no problem with the accommodation itself.

If you want to stay cheaply at an inn around Hakuba, this is the place.Of course, it's a drive-in dormitory style, so it won't be suitable for people who don't like it, but it has the image of being a gathering place for ski and snowboard experts. The prices are quite reasonable for an inn in the Hakuba area, where prices are soaring.

I stayed in Goryu Drive Station for 3 nights. Overall it is a basic hostel facilities which catered more for solo travellers or budget traveller. The owner of the hostel is very friendly. Despite language barrier she will try her best to assist with information required.

It's a bare minimum dormitory, but it has everything you need. The problem is that some regulars are not using it properly...This is a regular lodging during the winter.
