Mate, that Sun Valley Hotel was a real dud. Those futons were a joke – I've had comfier snoozes on a bloody jail bed! And guess what? They reckon it's a genius idea to charge per person, not per room. Thought I was shelling out $2200 for the week, ended up forking over a whopping $7000.And the vibes? Felt a bit dodgy, like they were taking the mickey out of us. Sun Valley Hotel, sort yourselves out, mate. I'd rather crash in a swag by the billabong than go back there. Fair dinkum, what a rip-off!

1. Traveling between the hotel and the ski resort is very convenient. It only takes one minute to walk to the ski resort's express pair. When you are tired, you can take a break at the hotel and return to the ski resort immediately. 2. There is a ski drying room and a rest area on the basement floor. You can play table tennis and billiards at the rest area. 3. You can use the coffee maker for free at the hotel entrance. 4.High-speed WIFI is available for free. Booking's evaluation of WIFI is low, but in actual use it is easier to use than expected. 5.The staff are kind. I forgot something, but when I contacted them, it was immediately taken care of. If you're going to Hakuba, this is the perfect place.

Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort's Iimori Slope and the first pair of lifts are right across the road, making the location the best. On days when the 1st Pair Lift is not in operation, you will need to walk to the Milky Four Lift.All of the staff were of Chinese descent, and some of them had poor Japanese language skills, but I think they responded well.There is a drying room in the basement, but it is unusually small and I think there is room for improvement.I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. Although the room is small, it is clean and acceptable. The bath was a unit bath. Although the hotel is right in front of the ski resort, there is no place to hang your ski wear. It's meant to hang in a very small closet, but it's too small to be useful. I had no choice but to dry it on the curtain pole.The problem was that the bath towels and hand towels were smelly. There was a difference depending on the towel, but I was concerned about the smell when it got wet.I stayed for 2 nights, and both nights I had hotpot for dinner. You can choose the soup, but the ingredients are exactly the same. I think it's easy to prepare, but I would like a little more variety. Breakfast was an assortment of dishes, but it was just average.Perhaps it was a problem with the ingredients in the hotpot, but both my husband and I developed infectious gastroenteritis the day we returned home. The symptoms were so severe that it was difficult to work the next day. It subsided within a few days, but I don't have very good memories of it.
