"It's hard to call it a resort hotel."[Note: Open only in winter]Although this hotel is the setting for "Take Me Skiing," I don't think it's very attractive with only guest rooms, a restaurant, and a mediocre store. Due to the location, there is nothing else in the area other than the ski resort, and there are no hot springs or other relaxation facilities within the hotel, making it difficult to relax. The point is that Shiga Kogen is not your average ski resort.Since it calls itself the East Building, the accommodation rates are naturally much higher than other hotels, and for around ¥30,000 for one night and two meals, you can go on a two-night, three-day Hokkaido tour departing from Haneda (airfare and breakfast included). What's more, round-trip expressway tolls and gas fees are separate, and you have to drive, so it's only natural that you'll end up heading north. As for ski resorts, the courses and lifts are shrinking to their limits, while prices are rising, and I think this will only lead to fewer customers. There is a south building that is used by groups, so it is quieter and the food is better, but there are other things I would like to see.

2024.3/22First time staying at East Building Twin. The rooms are spacious but not quite worth the price.○There is no power supply near my bed, so I can't use my smartphone while lying in bed.○Cleaning was not thorough and hair was visible in the washroom.○The toilet looks like an airplane toilet and feels oppressive.○There is no coffee in the room, only tea at this time, and there are so many stains on the carpet that I don't want to take my shoes off.○There are many stains on the sofa that look like spilled food and I don't want to sit on it.○There is no large public bath in the east building itself.○The front desk staff did not smile and did not respond well, making me feel quite depressed at the time of reception.○The breakfast buffet for 3,500 yen was surprisingly bad. The rice tasted old and tasted like stockpiled rice, the miso soup had no taste and no toppings, the stir-fried food had no taste and was tasteless, the vegetables in the salad were not fresh and tasted bad, and the carrot dressing was terrible. With only ready-made pickles, boiled tofu, and sausage, this would be 100 times better than a breakfast buffet at a business hotel in the city center.I wonder why rice and vegetables taste so bad in Nagano Prefecture. The only good thing about this hotel is that the view from the room is spectacular, overlooking the ski slopes. With an inbound price of 70,000 to 80,000, this room and service are too bad.

During the blizzard on March 18th, I stopped by the restaurant. Anyway, it's cold and I want to warm up, so thank you for being there.

This is a spacious room. You can feel a little bit of luxury. Ski fans who take me skiing will also be excited about the curtains with the same pattern.
