This is a clean, dog-first hotel.I had been curious about this place for many years, but I decided to stay there due to a connection.[Good points]・It's great that your dog can sleep with you on the bed if you wear manners. It was also helpful that manner wear was provided free of charge without having to prepare it.・I stayed on the terrace, and the room was very clean and had no smells and was comfortable.・The small garden attached to the terrace is lined with wood chips and is dog-friendly.・The water area was clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.[Not so good]-The staff are said to be friendly and cheerful, but I get the impression that there are a lot of incoherent interactions. For example, directions to the terrace building may not be appropriate, or how to make dinner reservations may be unclear.・The terrace building is located across the street from the reception, so you will have to cross a busy road to access it. There is no crosswalk, so it is very dangerous, but the staff did not take this into account.・The contents of breakfast are unclear. When I made the reservation, I was looking forward to having French toast or a bagel sandwich, but when I opened the lid, it was honey toast. No explanation was given for this change. In addition, the coffee was self-service using a De'Longhi machine, but it stopped working due to an error and the staff left quickly, so we had to give up on the coffee.Hotels where you can stay with your pet are rare, and I don't have any complaints about staying with my dog, so I think it's a good hotel in that respect.On the other hand, I judged that the consideration given to people was not at the level of a typical hotel, but rather at the level of a facility run by a general store. I felt that this facility was not recommended for those seeking hotel-level customer service.Personally, if I were to pay the same amount as a regular hotel, I would still choose a hotel.Still, there is no doubt that Dog First is a very valuable facility, and I hope that it will continue to do its best in Karuizawa.

I used it as a couple with 2 dogs in mid-May.We stayed for 3 nights, and on the first night it was just me and my two dogs, and after we got out of the car, my husband headed off to play golf in Ikaho.I stayed in Blue 101, and the room wasn't as small as I expected, and it was close to the same train line, making it easy to use.My Shih Tzu is an old dog who can't see and his hind legs are getting weak so he needs nursing care.Depending on the layout of the room, it can be exhausting, so I was able to spend a comfortable time with just the right size and flow line ( ◠‿◠ )Is it a dog run where you can go straight to the toilet because both dogs are outsiders? I attached it.Although it was small, I was able to use the toilet for two people by myself, and I think this size is good for using the nursing care harness! Unfortunately, the enclosure fence (wooden) is rotten and looks dirty and shabby ^^;It's a shame because you can maintain it by painting it once every two years.There were plenty of amenities, as expected from Dog Dept! I'm happy that everything has a logo (^^)I always bring toilet paper with me, but this one was soft and ok👌I only had breakfast after reading the reviews. It was delicious (*^^*)I refused daily cleaning and only asked for toiletries such as bath towels, but a pleasant and unassuming female staff member brought them to me (she broke a glass, but she was kind).I couldn't go out without my legs until my husband joined us, so I spent all my time here, and it was very comfortable. This was my 4th or 5th time staying in Karuizawa, and although this was the most reasonable accommodation, I felt it was the most comfortable.I think this will be my last trip to Karuizawa considering the distance (it takes more than 5 hours) and the burden on my old dog, but Dog Depto was a great memory (*^_^*)

A hotel where you can stay with your dog at least onceWhen we checked in, we received an original Dog Depto bag and a dry towel for the dog, and we borrowed matching pajamas for the dog.The room was very clean, didn't smell like dogs, and was fully stocked with dog goods. My dog ​​sleeps with me in the bed, so I was happy that he was OK on the bed as long as I wore a manners belt.The breakfast was also very hearty and delicious, and the freshly baked French toast was fluffy! The staff were also very responsive.The system is more like a lodge than a hotel, there is no permanent lobby, and if you need anything, there is a cell phone number. The last check-in time was around 7 o'clock, so it was a little difficult to check in at that time after eating dinner.It was raining lightly the next day, but we were able to play at the indoor dog run.

I really felt Dog First in the sofas in the cottage, the dog goods, the indoor and outdoor dog runs, the large space in the restaurant, and the service provided by the hotel staff.The pizza I had for dinner was also delicious!

I was able to sleep with my dog ​​while wearing matching pajamas, and the surrounding environment was very nice.It was a very nice atmosphere 😊One thing I didn't mind was that my husband didn't like the curtains to block out a lot of light. I said I was disappointed 😅

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. The price is also reasonable. I would like to use it again. Convenient as there is a convenience store in front. About 10 minutes to the expressway entrance. Outlet is also 10 minutes away. Good location too. Everyone at the hotel is nice.
