We stayed for one night with dinner as a family of four.I was moved by the fact that I couldn't arrive at the scheduled time for dinner, so I was giving up on the dinner that I was looking forward to, but the staff told me that the venue where I would be having dinner was still open, so if you would like, please come and have a meal. And no one made a disgusted face, and everyone responded politely and kindly. The whole family was moved by the response of the only person wearing a dinner jacket.Thank you very much.

When I stayed there on a Thursday, I was told that I couldn't eat at all that day, so I had no choice but to go buy something nearby. The large hot spring bath seems to be open for day trip bathing, so there were quite a few people.Breakfast is mostly served by office workers, and many of them seem to be using it like a business hotel.

I don't recommend it, at least in the old building.

The room was not too small and was enough for one person. There was a refrigerator so I could keep my drinks cold, and I was able to take my own ice cubes near the public bath.I stayed in the main building, but the terrace in the annex was also easily accessible for a quick stroll after taking a bath. There are chairs and hammocks so you can relax.Even with the no-meal plan, there was a footbath bar and other food options within a 3-minute walk, which was delicious.About 10 minutes by car to Suwa Taisha Shrine? I was able to go there.

We arrived at Kamisuwa Station around 8pm. Wanting to get a feel for the streets of Suwa City, I wandered around the dark, narrow streets for over 20 minutes while looking at Google Maps. This is an old castle town, where the road curves into a key shape and you can see the castle as you walk along the noisy waterway. As I was walking along the moat of a small castle, a small car sped up from behind. I could guess where the hotel was from a distance, but I couldn't get close enough. I finally arrived at the hotel. The hotel was divided into an annex and a main building, and was a bit old. The room was in the main building and did not have a view of Lake Suwa. The public bath is on the 6th floor, and there is also a pool, but the facility is a bit old-fashioned. The large public bath had various types of baths, and was large enough to rival Kenko Land. There was a sake bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna, so it was very relaxing. Although I was exhausted from the long journey and the final wandering, I was able to sleep soundly after soaking in this hot water. The hotel can't be called beautiful, but this bath made a huge difference in my impression. The restaurant at this hotel is probably a Chinese restaurant, and there were Chinese side dishes available for breakfast. As is typical of Shinshu, there are plenty of fruits and breads. I was able to have breakfast while looking out at Lake Suwa. I boarded a bus from the adjacent Red Cross Hospital to visit the four shrines of Suwa Taisha. Many buses come to this Red Cross Hospital, so those who use public transportation should aim for the Red Cross Hospital.

Since I was staying on a plan that included a beauty salon, I bought dinner at the supermarket and ate it in my room. I was looking forward to the sunset in a Japanese-style room in the main building with a lake view, but the sunset in September was a little to the left and I couldn't see it from my room. The rooftop terrace was so nice that I thought I'd come back here again! The breakfast buffet was unremarkable, but the croissants were delicious.
