The building is old in a good way, and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.Although the temperature of the hot springs is very high, you will find yourself getting addicted to the hot springs and soaking in them over and over again. The general manager (the president?) was a very hospitable person, and when I was letting my small child play in the lobby after dinner, he gave me a large bottle of apple juice as a gift.I regret that I was not able to thank you properly at check-out, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again.

I was drawn to Hankyu Topics' catchphrase for Karuizawa and Kusatsu Onsen, so I made a reservation, but I was picked up from a station in Niigata Prefecture and traveled an hour and a half to this inn in Yudanaka …

We had an incredible experience during our stay. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are traditional and just what you would expect from a Ryokan. The futon beds were comfy and we had our own private bathroom with a mountain-view. The brekafast that they serve in the morning is enormous (a buffet of sorts with lots of different food and drink options). This Ryokan is only a short walk from the local train station. There is also an indoor and outdoor onsen which we found very lovely. The outdoor onsen was tranquil and peaceful and it was so nice to relax there at night after a long day of travel. You would think this onsen is tucked away in the mountains due to it's serenity and privacy. I highly recommend this place!

My elderly parents and my elderly miniature dachshund are together with 5 people and 1 dog.I stayedIt's an old hotel with some ups and downs, but it also has a slope so even my parents with bad feet could walk without any strain.I had a lot of luggage for my dog, but they were kind enough to carry it with me to the room and provided me with detailed information about the hotel. The room had a hot spring, a garden, a separate toilet and washroom, and a large enough hot spring. The room was also spacious. My dog was also able to relax in the garden and wash his feet in the bathroom, which was helpful.Although it was raining, the air conditioner worked well and we were comfortable. When it wasn't raining, I closed the screen door and felt the cool breeze outside. It included breakfast and dinner. The hot items were warm and the quantity was sufficient. Even when the fire in the pot went out, they responded quickly.Hot springs are certainly hot. There was also a hot water massage board in the room bath. The outdoor bath was easier to enter than the indoor bath due to the fresh air. There are a lot of hot water flowers floating in the water and it can be slippery, so you have to be careful, but perhaps that's why we put handrails and steps so that even my parents, who have difficulty walking, could enter with peace of mind.My parents, who go to the hot springs every week, are full of praise, saying that the night they took a bath in the hot springs in Yudanaka, they had no pain in their legs and were able to sleep soundly without having to go to the bathroom. By the way, when I washed my dog's paws, I scooped hot spring water into the basin. The dog, which usually runs away, seemed comfortable with his feet in the sink. The quality of the spring water is the best!If you don't like hot baths, you can take a relaxing soak in the morning when the outside air has cooled down. You can also take a hot spring bath anytime until 9am. The changing room was equipped with a locker with a key. There were cleansers, lotions, emulsions, caps, and cotton swabs. In the bathroom, there is shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and bar soap for face washing.Although the price was reasonable, I felt that it was a good accommodation that was more than worth the price because of the thoughtful attention to detail, such as the cups for filling the pot with water and clothespins with room numbers for slippers.
