A dirty old man was the host.To be honest, the smell was so strong that it was difficult to approach.Also, the bathroom was small and difficult to lock, so I couldn't find anything good about it.

I’m not sure that I can say it’s cheaper than other hotels or not. but I’m so surprised that this hotel doesn’t provide any hand soap !!? It doesn’t make senses. After you go to toilet we need to clean up our hand right !?For the garbages in the women toilet always full with a bit dirty.For the room that I booked it’s clean even it feel old.No microwave , No Hot water , and the bath room ‘hot water’ maybe broken ? Sometimes it’s hot. Sometimes it’s cold.For the restaurant in the hotel. For dinner so over pricing but the taste is not that bad.Breakfast doesn’t recommend….Staff is not friendly ….

Did not manage to stay here this trip but the food at the restaurant is AMAZING, especially the tonkatsu and dashimaki (egg). Seafood is also very fresh! It’s so good that we came here 4 days in a row for dinner! Highly reccommeded come and try out their food if you’re in Hakuba Goryu!

Restaurant food was super nice, very delicious and the pork cutlet is a MUST TRY. Juicy and tender inside with perfectly fried breading layer, side dish portions were generous as wellChicken kaarage was juicy inside, crispy outside, similarly, generous portions of side dishesMixed fried (oysters, fish and shrimp) was super fresh as well, nothing short of deliciousDashimaki was superb, nothing like what I’ve tasted before in Japan.Stayed nearby for 5 days and had dinner here for 4 nights, speaks a lot about their food!Best part is that it’s all very affordable!

1. Very rude staff - the reception closed earlier than it was supposed to, so it was dead empty when we arrived, when we finally managed to find the staff, his first reaction was "you cannot stay unless you pay now" in a very rude and shxtty face, the entire check in process was awful..2. OLD and dirty room - yaa just aged and dirty3. Insufficient bathroom facility - there are 7-8 rooms on 2nd floor (each at least handles 4 guests), but ONLY 1 male and female toilet to handle all guests, be prepared to spend loads of time to wait before you depart for morning ski4. An onsen you can skip - minimal, old, looks dirty, we all didn't even try5. No elevator, rooms are on 2nd floor so be prepared to carry all your baggages upSummary:Apparently Hakuba is busy enough that the host/staff don't give a shxt if you enjoy your stay here because money keeps getting in their pocket anyways. Strong suggest you all to look for other places instead

They don't offer luggage storage after check-out, and you have to walk up a steep slope to reach the ski resort where the Azuki lockers are located, so you might want to reconsider using this as a ski accommodation.Although it can't be helped because it's cheap, the equipment was old and the heating in the room didn't work at all even at the highest temperature setting, so I ended up spending my time wrapped in a futon.

The host was very cooperative and it was great to see the effort being put into it.However, to be honest, the whole inn smelled of cigarettes and it was not very comfortable. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but the smell of cigarettes permeated the room, making it uncomfortable to sleep in.
