2024.7.19I used it alone for motorcycle touring.Since it was a weekday, I was able to relax in the private hot spring. The food was carefully prepared, and the soba noodles and soy milk amazake almond tofu were especially delicious.Breakfast was also delicious.I was looking forward to the evening cool set, but it was local beer and snacks, so I had my expectations too high. All the staff were kind and made me feel comfortable. This time I chose the cheapest plan, but next time I would like to enjoy a higher-ranked plan.thank you

This is a hot spring hotel near Ueda Station. It seems that many celebrities and professional baseball players have stayed at this hotel in the past, but it is a rusty hotel with a past glory. There is no sense of hospitality. Breakfast only plan without dinner. The breakfast looked voluminous, but it was a mishmash of ready-made items that didn't satisfy my appetite. We recommend staying here without meals. The hot springs are simple springs that are colorless and odorless. Although the spring quality is not unique, it is pleasant. There is no open-air bath. There are 4 indoor baths (one is reserved for private use), so it can be difficult to use them because they are open to men and women at different times. The night ends at 24:00. Morning hours are from 6am to 8am. Considering the breakfast time, the time system makes it difficult to take a leisurely bath. It would be nice to be able to take a bath until 9:00 or 9:30.This is a hotel with so many details that you won't be able to stop pointing them out. It's a wasteful hotel even though it's near the station and has a hot spring. One star near the station, one star for the hot spring hotel.Recommended if you are staying overnight without meals.

I stayed at this inn when I was traveling alone in the winter, and although it was old, it was a beautiful inn. I was able to sleep very soundly at night.

2023.11.21 Stayed at YamazakuraAlthough I arrived a little early, I was happy to be greeted with a smile.Pre-payment is rare here. Cash, credit card, and PayPay are accepted. If you use drinks at dinner or other services, the bill will be billed the next day. There are two private baths, each of which can be used for 50 minutes on the day of check-in. There is a list of baths on a whiteboard next to the front desk, and you can make a reservation by attaching a magnet with the name of the room to the time you want to enter. The next morning, men and women will take separate baths from 6am to 10am. There are two bathrooms and two washing areas. There is one hair dryer in the bathroom, but there is also one in the room. It was a Saronia hair dryer (no problems with the power of the dryer). Both dinner and breakfast were often made with local ingredients. The soba noodles at the end of the mushroom hotpot were very delicious. After finishing the meal with soba noodles, I was offered grilled rice balls, but I was too full to eat them...(I'd like to try them next time).Breakfast was a delicious mix of white rice and sprouted brown rice, and a variety of side dishes.I was impressed by the polite customer service of the very smiling staff (probably the young proprietress). In addition, although there are only 5 rooms and it is close to Ueda Station, it is quiet and has a cozy feeling, allowing you to spend a relaxing time.Yamazakura was told that it gets cold in the back room, so they provided us with a stove, which came in handy during the cold mornings and evenings. I'm glad you were considerate.I think this inn is recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing time. It's perfectly fine even if you're traveling alone. We also use Airweave bedding, so you can sleep soundly on a comfortable futon. The Shoen garden across the street was closed and seemed to be dismantling little by little. Currently, only Jukuan is open.

It is located on the site of a samurai residence right in front of Ueda Castle's Sannomaru. You can walk to Ueda Castle. There is a sense of secrecy as there are only 5 rooms in one building. The room we stayed in was a maisonette with a bedroom on the second floor, which felt like a hideout. There was also a terrace. There are two baths available for private use. The food was on point.

It has a good taste with Yumeji Takehisa's paintings on it.The ceiling is high, but the pillars are low, so I'm 175cm tall and my head hits me when I walk normally. The bath is extremely hot, so lower the temperature with water before entering. The maids were attentive and kind and very nice. There is no WIFI, but the speed is quite fast with 5GFor breakfast, you can get refills of rice and the maid will serve it for you.It was nice to have a water server.
