It's a small and cute lodge. It had a handmade feel to it, and I was a little worried about the creaking sound of the floorboards, but I was satisfied because I was able to rent out the whole house and enjoy BBQ and fireworks. The owner was very kind and gave me a box of charcoal when I told him I was going to have a BBQ.Some of the small things I noticed were that the Wi-Fi was weak at night, there weren't enough toothbrushes for everyone, there were a lot of fibers from the bath towels on my face, and ants were getting in.There was no air conditioning, but it was cool so a fan was enough. I think the cost performance is good if you are staying with multiple people.

I stayed there during Obon. Unfortunately, we couldn't do any outdoor activities due to the bad weather this year, but we had a deck with a tarp, so we enjoyed BBQ and a little fireworks! !The interior of the wooden lodge has a so-called skip floor, and my child, who is in the lower grades of elementary school, had a lot of fun, but it might be difficult for a group of adults only. Also, there was only a shower room in the room, and the air conditioner only had a heater, no cooling, and only a fan, so if it was extremely hot, it would be a tropical night where you wouldn't be able to sleep. But it's cheap and satisfying as a base for activities. The staff at the lodge frequently contacted me via email and provided me with information on recommended spots and sightseeing in the area, which was very helpful.I would like to stay here again while my children are small.

My family and I had a great stay at Beaver Lodge. Matsu is great and gave us recommendations where to eat and where to ski/snowboard.

We've absolutely loved our stay at Beaver Lodge. It's in the most beautiful location in the Hakuba valley and just a short drive to the Imori slope on Goryu mountain where we booked skiing lessons. The apartment is perfectly designed for our family of 4 with 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The 2 bedrooms were very comfortable and is been so lovely to sit down in the evening and watch Netflix whilst eating a home made meal. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full dinners. There is even a washing machine and dishwasher. The lodge has a drying room for all ski equipment too and our two boys made the most of the deep snow out front and toboggans provided. The owner, Mats, has gone out of his way to drive us wherever we need to go. He took us grocery shopping and to the ski slopes and has given us the best local advice about where to eat and ski. We've never been so well looked after on a holiday before! We will definitely come back again. Next time for a longer stay!
