Spent three nights here, very cozy and warm placeThe boss and his wife are kind and lovely. I am very happy that this is my first time skiing and staying here.On the morning of returning to Tokyo on the last day, breakfast was accompanied by the energetic singing of Konokichi by the landlady. Whenever I hear this song in the future, I will be reminded of the warm and lovely skiing trip of the past few days.

Worst accommodation experience1. We were told in advance that we wanted to add two people and get one more room. The boss agreed, but informed us at the last minute that the room was sold online without even a single apology, and the accommodation was charged based on the number of people. Originally, we could have one room for two people. Room. Later, 3 or 4 people needed to use one room, but it was the same price.2. I booked a ski instructor in advance (the owner of the B&B himself is the instructor), but was also informed at the last minute that there was no instructor.3. The ski supplies sold in the store have different prices. My friend bought a mask for only 500 yen, but I bought a mask for 1,000 yen. Even though I told the other party that my friend only bought it for 500 yen, she still charged me. 1,000 yenThe most unpleasant thing is that the room and coach were canceled at short notice, but there was no apology! ! !There are also good parts1. The living room is large and comfortable2. Sufficient hot water and room heatingWorst accommodation experience ever1. We were told in advance that we wanted to add two people and get one more room. Great place to stay, cozy and convenient with friendly staff!Pros:Overall this is a nice place if you want to ski/snowboard at the nearest resorts. The hotel location is nice, 15 minutes by walk to the ski resort or by bus shuttle (the stop is just near the hotel). There is a room for skiing/snowboards and for drying clothes (and there is a small clothes dryer in the room too). Breakfast is tasty, and coffee/tea is available for 24 hours in the kitchen area. Friendly and nice staff, when checking out - they suggest a free car transfer to the nearest but stop (very useful if you have luggage). Free Wi-Fi is available. Also, there is a smoking area on the terrace.Cons:The sound isolation is not so good, you can hear people from other rooms. Hot water is not always available (in our case - not an issue, 10 am - 3 pm time when no hot water and we were absent at this time). Overall room is clean, but you can notice small spots somewhere, and there is mold at the window.

The boss is very nice and is proficient in three languages. Chinese, Japanese and English. The house is very clean, warm, comfortable and cozy. There is Wi-Fi, a ski storage room, and a shoe cabinet, all very clean. There is a bus to goryu escal plaza at 8:30 on time at the door. The last bus is at 5 o'clock. You have to walk a little further about 400m. The B&B is about 900m away from the ski resort. The toilet has its own bathroom and is clean enough for a bath. Dinner is relatively simple but delicious. If you don’t want to have dinner, there are some options in nearby stores, but not many. If the weather is nice, there are more options near the station. But the boss is a ski instructor, and the B&B is newly built. Being able to speak Chinese is a big plus. You can make an appointment with the boss to take classes and stay in a B&B~~

Our stay at the Snow Elephant was excellent. We took the free shuttle to ski Goryu in the morning and, at the end of the day, skied back through the forest to the front door. The great breakfasts kept us going strong all day long. Our hosts were also extremely kind and helpful during our stay.

I had a great stay at Snow Elephant. Was in Hakuba for snowboarding (5 days), owners and staff were extremely helpful. The guest vibe was great and made a few friends in the days I stayed. Rooms are clean and the lodge has several areas which were freshly renovated 💯.Very close to the regular shuttle buses to Escal Plaza (access to Goryu, Hakuba47). There's a way to ski/snowboard back from Escal to the parking area of Snow Elephant.Breakfast each morning was very filling and well balanced, perfect for going into a full day of snowboarding. Dinner (extra) I requested the handmade dumplings, excellent.Hotel is English speaking friendly! 🌟Thanks for having us Wei, Bunny and Ben.

Stayed here for 5 nights, love it and will come back again.Clean room with heater, good size for two people.Big common room with water, tea, tv and massage chair - you can chill, work or chit chat with other hotel guests there. Guests, owners and staff are all ski/snowboard enthusiasts (we came in Feb) so a lot of common topics and we even went out for izakaya together!Dry room available for you to place your gears and snow wear.Owners are a pair of couple, sweet and helpful. They picked us up and drop us off at bus station for free before checkin/after checkout. They also helped us arrange luggage forwarding service which is a big help as we don’t understand Japanese. They are both snowboard instructors so don’t forget to ask if you need a lesson! They speak English and Mandarin.Breakfast is HUGE, they start cooking it when you arrive the common room. Dumplings for dinner is great as well!
