Great lodge right across from the slopes. It is up a steep hill with the gondola and main restaurants at the bottom so keep this in mind. It also has a number of stairs in the lodge itself to rooms, we had at least two flights from the drying room after a day of skiing.Breakfast was amazing, staff were amazing and the trips included to the bus terminal and onsens were a big bonus. Overall would recommend

We absolutely loved our stay here. Amazing staff very very friendly, that alone is almost worth the visit! Soo close to lifts of Happo One and just a short walk to some awesome eating houses (albeit the trip home is up a mad hill!).Facilities are simple, tatami floored rooms ours had bunks, they are not big but comfortable. The lounge is where the great brekkies were eaten and a place to meet people, there is a bar area, games room and a huge drying room. The onsen is a top place to start a recovery after a day on the slopes. A really good spot for families for sure. It’s not too expensive and we will be back for sure!

My wife and I recently stayed at Asuka lodge and had an amazing week. The whole team seemed like a family and welcomed us in like we were apart of it. My wife injured herself midweek and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, going out of their way to help us book local restaurants and taxis to get around. The cooked breakfasts were also an absolute treat!

This place was great! The entire staff was super friendly and helpful, and would cook breakfast for us every day. The location was great – right next to the gondola for one of the resorts. The lodge is at the top of a long hill, but the staff will pick you up and drop you off at the bus terminal, along with offering rides to the local onsen, convenience store, or busy area of town. The ammenities in the lodge were great – tatami mat rooms, a nice in house onsen, ski storage room, and great common room with board games, netflix, and playing cards. The only reasons to avoid this place are as follows: if shared bathrooms are a deal breaker or if the long hill is a deal breaker.

I stayed in Asuka Earlier this year in 2022-2023 for skiing, and let me tell you, it was amazing. They offer great breakfast with staff members being really friendly and helpful at all times. The Lodge was also very close to the ski resort making a easy entrance to the ski resort. It has it on on-son, entertainment rooms, a bar, a huge dining room where you can be social and meet other skiers, and last but not least, comfy and traditional ta-ta-mi Japanese rooms. Overall a wonderful experience!

We stayed at Asuka lodge earlier this year. It's a wonderful place for the price, extremely close to the lifts and the staff are amazing and always willing to help out. Would highly recommend making use of the nightly shuttles to the local onsens as there are some exquisite ones around.

I had the oden, the unique blue cheese tofu, and the ochazuke. I also had the Suntori Hakushu whiskey, a new favorite. All were perfect and quite reasonably priced. Service was immediate whenever I caught a server's eye, and despite their kindly posted warning that no English speakers working today, language was not an issue.
