This is a mountain hut style accommodation. Most of the employees and guests were foreigners. This is a facility where you can stay with dogs, so if you don't like dogs, you might want to avoid it.■Impressions・It was a good guest facility overall.・Stayed here for 2 nights during the green season.・There will be no excessive contact with employees, only during check-in. He was friendly at breakfast.・There is a sense of cleanliness inside the facility.-There were towels and bath towels in the room.・The bathroom was not bad as it had a bathtub.・There was also a paid laundry facility.・The living room is comfortable. You can also communicate with other guests. There was also Wanchan, so it was a warm feeling. I was grateful that I could drink coffee freely 24 hours a day.・Breakfast was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting much, but the bread and fruits were also better than I expected.・It was a facility that I would like to stay at again.・The bad thing was that there were a lot of stink bugs in the room. The sound of doors opening and closing was noisy, and instructions on how to use the bathroom were either difficult to understand or not communicated to the users. I couldn't watch the TV in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kizuna Lodge during the green season this week. We decided not to rent a car and found that most places are within a reasonable walking distance, otherwise the staff are happy to drive you to local areas if they are available. We highly recommend Kizuna for its outdoor kitchen and BBQ area if you would like to cook your own food. The local restaurants and bars were incredible - highly recommend visiting Lucky Star Cafe in town, the owner and her daughter are very friendly and incredibly helpful with recommending places to see in the area that are not very well known to tourists and the food / drinks were delicious. The staff at Kizuna are also very hospitable and friendly - special shout out to the fantastic service staff Bri, Yuka, and Rio for making our stay especially relaxing, and James for cooking delicious breakfasts for us each morning. The staff were also fantastic at recommending places to see in Hakuba - we particularly loved swimming in the Matsu River and visiting Aoki Lake.Thank you to Bri and the rest of the staff at Kizuna for a wonderful stay, we highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was disappointed to discover that the owners had changed hands over the last couple of months. We had been looking forward to meet the original owner (Sae-san) and her dogs, as mentioned in other reviews here. The place is still comfortable and the staff do their best, but lacked the personal touch. The current owner (Justin) runs several different accommodation options in this area and the staff are spread over these different places. It felt like more of a transactional stay. The price of the booking on AirBNB became more expensive over the few hours it took us to make a decision. If you don't drive, it's quite a walk from the main area, and probably better to rent something nearer the heart of town.

My wife and I were hosted by Sai-san. She was very friendly and accommodative.Rooms were a little small but cozy. But it was well compensated by common areas (much like a living room). Breakfast was available every morning as well but a tie-down needs to be done on the day prior!Although the location was not as accessible, it was well compensated by the shuttle service by the local bus services.

My week at Kizuna Lodge in Hakuba, Japan was simply amazing! Sae and Georgia, our hosts, were like family, always there to help with travel tips and ensuring we had the best time. The lodge had everything I needed for a comfy stay, but what really made it special were the personal touches. Sae's breakfasts were delicious, and the short transfers to ski resorts made life easy. The lodge's common areas felt like cozy forest hideaways, adding to the charm. And let's not forget Sae's adorable dogs – they were the icing on the cake!Overall, Kizuna Lodge is a gem in Hakuba. Can't wait to come back! 🏔️❄️

Host was super responsive and will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Apparently the host owns a few of the properties in town so he has the 'supporting network' available for when you need anything that's either emrgency or in short supplies. For our case, we went during Snow Machine festival without knowing - and all equipment rentals are booked out at every other famous places within the valley - however the host was able to help us find some snowboard sets to play with! Super hekpful staff as well - especially Sae and Akira who's always around and are willing to drop us off anywhere in town if the shuttle is available. And delicious breakfast! Overall a 10/10 will recommend this place to anyone and will come again!

Worst possible place. The lovely Japanese lady who lives there along with 2 dogs are lovely however unfortunately overshadowed by manager Justin who couldn't be any worse if possible. Continually changing prices / options and giving different accommodation to what's booked last minute. Completely rude. Definitely one to avoid!

Myself and 20 of my friends & family spent our Christmas here. We booked this place on a whim, and it was honestly the best decision we all made. Sai's warm and welcoming personality and hospitality made our short holiday so much better. Her and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It really was a bit sad to say goodbye, but we'll definitely be back! <3
