We had such a great time! This guesthouse is located in the beautiful Hakuba village, surrounded by mountains, and the air is so clear that I felt instantly relaxed. The owner was very kind and sent us a detailed guide before checking in, as well as telling us about nearby attractions and restaurants. Thanks to you, I have come to love Hakuba Village.The guesthouse itself was warm and very comfortable. The interior design has a natural feel, making me feel like I've returned to a house in the countryside. The room was very clean and especially the bed was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep every night. When I look at the scenery outside my window in the morning, it seems to cleanse my soul and give me energy.The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and I was able to make simple meals by myself, which was very convenient. There are many places around the guest house suitable for hiking and outdoor activities, and the advice given by the owner was also very helpful.What impressed me most was the warmth and thoughtfulness of the owner. They paid attention to every detail and made my stay worry-free. Summer Leaves is one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed at! If I have a chance to come to Hakuba Village again, I would definitely like to stay here again.

I dont know why i am only just writing this review now but our stay at Summer Leaves was everything you could have asked for. Mickey and Mary were incredibly hospitable. My partner and I would 100% recommend staying here. We can't wait to book our next trip and to celebrate our shared birthdays again :)

Really helpful host. They will do all they can and definietly more than you’d expect to help you organize your trip and have a good time in Hakuba. Transfers, pick-ups and recomendations, you name it.Rooms are simple and without much furniture nut you’d not spend much time there anyway.Breakfast is great and they offer vegan friendly brekkie too. Even better than the normal.House is nice, has a good vibe and good people in it. Lot’s of international volunteers to hang out with.

Mary and Mickey were the most hospitable, accommodating, nicest and most wholesome hosts. I highly recommend staying at Summer Leaves. From the convenience to the surroundings there’s nothing you wouldn’t love about the stay.

It is a good place to keep healthy. The Taiwanese house owners (especially the hostesses) will ask you to go to bed early and get up early, and they care more about you than your mother~Do not eat foods that are too oily, as food waste will clog the drains.You can't create too much garbage, because he needs to pay garbage tax. If everyone eats too much, he may charge you (about ¥500/person per night cleaning fee).Therefore, it is recommended that you stay there only if you are traveling alone. If you are skiing with friends, I do not recommend it, because I believe that everyone will not be able to enjoy their skiing vacation and will only be disappointed 😂

WOW! This is the most beautiful and extraordinary place to stay. Never in my life have I experienced such a beautiful, welcoming tribe. Transfers to the mountain were offered as well as pick up from our shuttle. A really welcoming space to gather with cool folks from all around the world offering instruments a record player, board games and literature as well as all the local info you’d ever need. Stay at Summer Leaves it will make your holiday and you’ll be sure to return.

Really kind and generous family owned hotel. They spent hours helping me get my car out of the snow. They were very helpful in coordinating out ski trip as first time skiers.
