I stayed here for one night after climbing Mt. Hakumadake. It is a large building that seems to have been crowded with groups of tourists a long time ago, and the interior is a bit intricate and has a pleasant Showa-era atmosphere. Although it is an old building overall, it was kept clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable, but I wonder if I can recommend it to people who feel dirty due to age-related stains on the walls of bathrooms etc. I think so too. The bathhouse has an open-air bath on the rooftop and a large rock bath in the basement, and you can even see the Oito Line trains from the open-air bath on the rooftop. Both baths use hot springs that flow directly from the hot springs, so it is clear that the hot springs have a large amount of hot water. The accommodation fee is about 13,000 yen for one night and two meals, which is relatively reasonable, making it a perfect place to enjoy a quiet hot spring experience.

I received this as a guest during my trip to Niigata and Nagano. The inn is a nostalgic inn located along the Hime River, a 5-minute walk from Hiraiwa Station, and is surrounded by a day-trip hot spring facility, Kunoyu, a hot spring waterfall, and a hot spring pond. The room was a Japanese-style room with a washroom, and I could see the Oito Line trains from the window, so I could relax. The baths include a natural large rock bath and an open-air bath with a view. From the observation open-air bath, you can see trains crossing the iron bridge, and I think it's the best location for taking photos. I was overwhelmed by the size of the natural large rock bath. Please note that this is a mixed bathing area and is only for women from 8pm to 9pm. The hot springs are sodium and calcium chloride hydrogen carbonate springs, and were very pleasant. We had our meals in the large hall both in the morning and in the evening. There was a lot of variety, and the food was home-cooked and delicious. This was my first time visiting Himekawa Onsen, and although there was no hot spring town, I was able to spend a pleasant time surrounded by Himekawa and nature. If I have another chance, I will send it to you.

First of all, the conclusion was "good". However, the following conditions apply.① Since there was no information about the accommodation, I went there nervously wondering what kind of place it was.The inn was run by two people, the owner who seemed like a nice person, and the landlady. It's not that there aren't many services because there aren't many people on hand, but it's just for people who want to spend a quiet time.②It is definitely not a modern inn. A true hot spring inn from the Showa era remains in the Reiwa era. something like that. So it's natural that it's old. It's not suitable for people who have problems with this kind of thing. However, it is beautifully cleaned and looks great. For people like me from the Showa era, there are inns in this day and age that bring back nostalgic memories.Generation Z? On the contrary, it's fresh.③Did many people stay overnight there in the past? There is also a large hall. However, now the two of them are managing the restaurant, and in other words, they are accepting as many customers as they can handle. That's why spacious accommodations are the scene. How do you see this?It is not suitable for people who see it as ``shadow''. OK if you don't care.If you accept the above ① to ③, you will be comfortable.[Reception] The husband seems like a nice person. Cats are also welcome.[Meal] It was delicious. It's not luxurious, though. I'm sorry if this is just my imagination, but it's probably not all handmade, but that's okay. However, it's the same everywhere, but tuna and shrimp are served at mountain inns. Is this a customer request?[Bath] This is as expected. The open air is on the roof of the inn. The view is too good. Well, the surrounding towns aren't popular either, so I don't think anyone will see it. Can it be seen from the Oito Line, which is rarely used? The indoor rock bath is also spacious. Twice as much as I imagined. It's bright because the ceiling is translucent. The spring quality is good. The hot springs are truly outstanding.[Room] Old but well-maintained. However, there is no WiFi. I'd like to ask you to add one, but I wonder if you'll be able to accommodate me. You won't be able to reach it unless you also attach a router and repeater. Are you familiar with digital?Overall, it would be a good idea to stay if you understand the caveats I wrote at the beginning.Showa era? That was about 40 years ago. I guess this inn was built in the Showa era in the 1940s, just by imagination. If so, 50 to 60 years ago. That old inn still exists today thanks to the efforts of the two of you. This is a good place to stay at.The building itself seems to have been expanded and renovated repeatedly, with many stairs and a maze-like feel. It is not barrier-free.The Himekawa River and Oito Line can be clearly seen from the room. The Oito Line has new rolling stock, but there are concerns about its survival. What will the future hold?

Although the exterior may make you feel uneasy, the inside of the building was thoroughly cleaned, and the yukata and other equipment were clean and comfortable. There are a number of rooms available, but currently only 3-4 groups are accepted. The hot water flowing directly from the source here was really refreshing. However, the famous Oiwa indoor bath is a mixed bath, so I would recommend staying only for women. There is a women-only time slot from 20:00 to 21:00.The quality of the hot water in the women-only indoor bath is good, but it felt oppressive because it looked like a cave bath. After all, I think that your level of satisfaction with Asahisou will largely depend on whether or not you can take a bath in the mixed rock bath.I was satisfied with the food as there was a large amount of food for the price.I understand how people who become repeat customers feel. I liked it so much that I plan to visit it again.

This is a Showa-era hot spring inn with an old building and no barrier-free facilities. However, the bath is fed directly from the source, which is great. From the open-air bath on the rooftop, you can see the Hime River and the Oito Line that crosses the bridge.Easy access, just 5 minutes walk from the station

Pilgrimage to Shinshu Onsen 🚗💨♨️The fragrant scent of sulfur and the amount of yunohana floating in the hot water are amazing👌🤍The large indoor bath is a mixed bath🧖🏻‍♂️🧖🏻‍♀️However, the charm of this place is definitely the open-air bath with a view🏞🧖🏻‍♂️🌞I've only been here during the day, but the open-air bath with a view at night looks pretty amazing, so I definitely want to come someday. The starry sky looks amazing🌌🌠One disappointing point is that the friendliness and attitude of the female staff is extremely bad.I think it would be better to change jobs as I am not suitable for working in the hospitality industry. No matter how good the hot water is~ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃFor that reason, I will reduce one star 🤩
