A great and very affordable place. I got an entire room to myself for 2800 yen!Pros:close to Kii Tanabe station and ajikoji district (2-3 min walk)Spacious rooms and very clean.AffordableGreat hosts and english instructions for guesthouse wifi etc.Cons: close to train station and ajikoji district. You will hear a lot of cars, train noise, and maybe some rowdy party animals closing down the bars that are open late. Earplugs are essential. One toilet for entire guesthouse. Was one of two guests so not an issue but could be when busy.Easy to hear guests coming/going. Could be an issue when busy.Narrow entryway and foyer. For those doing the kumano kodo taking off hiking boots and maneuvering a hiking pack is tricky.

A bit minimalistic (shared bathroom and restroom) but otherwise very friendly, clean, with standard set of amenities (TV, WiFi, refrigerator) for this type of hotels. If you are doing hiking and have to stay for a night, this place has almost unbeatable price. Highly recommend.

Trip wouldn’t let me modify my booking to combine both days, but the manager kept my bookings of two days without making me check out and check back in. Very convenient

I expected this to be a bit dirty or run down simply because of the price, but I was completely wrong! I had the room entirely to myself and it was very clean and cozy. The manager explained everything so it would be easy to understand. …

First of all, I was surprised at how cheap the accommodation costs were! The landlady was friendly and nice. (Stayed on the 1st floor)・One room with 4 and a half tatami mats (for 1 person) on the 1st floor ・Kitchen ・Bathroom (treated as a shower ・Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash included)・2 rooms (for 2 people or more) and toilets on both sides of the hallway on the 2nd floorthere is.It's a normal wooden house, so if you're on the 1st floor, you'll have to put up with the thuds and thuds from the upper floors. The rooms are equipped with TV, towels and toothbrushes. Considering the price, this is sufficient. All the people on the 2nd floor except me were foreigners, and in the hallway there was luggage of foreigners who wanted to go around Nakahechi empty-handed.
