While I was traveling around the Kii Peninsula on my road bike, it was raining and I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep outside, so I made a reservation here.It was a special feeling to take a hot spring bath after being tired from running in the heavy rain.Also, the owner was very kind and took care of me in many ways, so I was very grateful.The location is also good as you can go straight to the coast.

I stayed here while traveling alone on my minivelo bicycle.After sightseeing in Shirahama, call to see if you can stay overnight without meals.When I went there, the host was spraying water, so I asked him to put his minivelo in the garage in the back of his house, show me the accommodation, and check out by leaving the room key in the management room. .So we only greeted each other once and met face to face.There wasn't.The room is Japanese style.It felt like I was staying at my grandpa's house in the countryside.The bathroom is enough for one person.It was a proper hot spring.It's comfortable and more than enough for a solo traveler who isn't looking for a luxurious accommodation.

For those who want to experience real Japan. This house is traditionally rented out to vacationers by a Japanese family. The owner of the house is a hospitable person. Keeps the rooms clean, helps with advice and deeds whenever possible. Tatami, futons, paper partitions, ofuro, onsen, your own garden and koi pond, a shared toilet with slippers - in general, everything we love in Japan.The beach is about five minutes walk. The beach is a fairy tale!

I chose this inn because of the convenience of checking in by 11pm and the price. The building itself wasn't that new, and there were some parts where it looked old, but it was well-cleaned, there was no smell of cigarettes, and the host was kind. I had a very comfortable stay! !

Arrived by bike.The・An old-fashioned guesthouse.Room without meals ¥3500The parking lot is a little far away, but the location is very convenient as it is close to Shirarahama Beach and the Ginza shopping district.It's a small bathtub, but the hot spring water is flowing directly through it.The water was smooth and smooth, which was a little different from the hot springs on the coastline, but it was great because it made my skin smooth ♡This time it was reserved for me, so I was able to use the slightly larger men's bath ^_^

I've stayed here a couple of times and I will return again. Why? Well, first of all the location is very convenient. Secondly, the owners are relaxed and kind, and take the time to explain everything. This inn is old, but it is kept clean and I actually like the old-fashioned atmosphere. This place is an unbeatable value for the money. So if you're a traveler like me and would rather stay in a pared-down, simple, less-expensive (but still clean and comfortable) hotel and spend money on other things, this is the place for you.

It was an inn that made me realize how difficult it is to run an inn. It seems that the inn is managed by a single host. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there were few guests, so there were only a few groups when I was there. Advance payment and cash only. After paying at check-in, all you have to do is leave your key at the reception desk when checking out. If there were several groups per day, I would be able to sleep in the morning, and in reality, my husband was able to sleep in the reception room.There are no towels in each room, but they are folded in the hallway near the hot spring room, and you can use any of them, and when you use them, you throw them in the basket. This is probably because if they are installed in each room, it will be difficult to collect and prepare them every day.It's natural that the walls in the room are thin because it's an old building. In fact, there are only a few places where it is thick in guesthouses.There is a room on the first floor with a large table, probably because they used to serve breakfast in the past, but it is left unoccupied and abandoned.Western-style toilets are only on the first floor. The door has a time-honored mechanism in which when you open the door, a hinge moves to close it.I don't think it bothered me at all because just being able to sleep was enough for me.It's difficult to manage alone, and many things have been simplified, so maybe I should just quit, but I need a job to survive, and this guesthouse made me think about a lot of things.

The price is low so I don't have to worry about that.The walls are thin, the toilet smells, the hot spring is as small as a home bath, and there are no tissues in the room.I was surprised. A good guesthouse if you know about it.
