My stay at Lacoma was very pleasant. After continuously visiting so many different places on my trip from Tokyo to Kyoto to Osaka and Nara, I needed a slower pace and Lacoma stay was perfectly that. The host and her staff were very welcome. I felt like home. The place was very well thought out with every every little details like coffee, tea, face masks, dental care, free snacks, recommendations, etc etc it was clean and quiet. The only thing is depending on who is your next door or across neighbor, you can hear them if they are not mindful during quiet hours. I would come back again when I revisit Wakayama!

This is a guesthouse where you can't help but say, "I'm home." It's quiet, clean and comfortable. It is the perfect environment to escape from the hustle and bustle, relax and indulge in your thoughts. The staff and guests are full of hospitality and love for this place. Through interaction, we have a feeling of new encounters. If we could have interacted more, I would have been able to discover experiences and surprises unique to this area.I'm sure everyone will feel the urge to return to Lacoma again!

This time, I was able to stay using the Furiaco system. All rooms are Japanese-style and the bedding is futons, but they are clean and comfortable. There are two Western-style restrooms on the first and second floors, and one for men on the first floor.

This is a guest house owned by a lovely and cute woman in her 30s who has a desire to express herself to the max.I think this is the perfect accommodation for people who left their jobs after 2-3 years of work due to mental fatigue.

I stayed with my friend for about 2 months from 2023.01.16 to 03.12.Highly recommended for those who want to experience rural life and migration, those who want to expand their sense of values, and those who want to reflect on themselves over a long vacation. The owner, Sacchan, is a warm and caring person, and during my stay I felt that people come from all over the country to see him, and that he is loved by the local people as well.As a result, we received gifts from the local community, had drinking parties together, and had a really fun time meeting new people. The inside of the building is a good old Japanese mansion, and it is kept very clean, so even I, who is a bit of a tidy person, was able to use it comfortably and comfortably.Below is my personal recommendation (2023.03)①Karekinada Fresh Fish Company (fish shop)You can enjoy fresh sashimi for lunch at the fish shop located inside Susami Roadside Station. It's closed from Monday to Wednesday, but it's so delicious that you'll want to come every day.The staff at the store also have wonderful smiles that make you feel at ease.② Bokai no Yu (hot spring)Located within walking distance of Lacoma, these hot springs offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. It is run by Marriott, so it has the appearance of a luxury hotel, but you can enter for 800 yen (600 yen if you use a coupon ticket).③Nearest LawsonLawson is a 3-minute walk away and offers a panoramic view of the ocean.I really loved spending time enjoying coffee and sandwiches on a sunny day and enjoying the breeze.I stayed there for two months, but even though I had a car, I commuted to the neighborhood every day. It's such a comfortable place. Please feel free to ask Sacchan for any other recommendations.Like a concierge, they should be able to introduce you to a place that perfectly suits your needs.

This is an inn run by people who have immigrated from the city. This is a relatively new private house. If you're thinking about living in the countryside, you might be able to hear a lot of stories.

Summary : Lovely host (can't believe I found a uni senior of all people 🤣), lovely place, lovely atmosphere, wonderful. 優しいホストさん(まさか大学の大大大先輩)、素敵な場所、あたたかいおもてなし。是非来てほしい。Booked through Airbnb, the host was very responsive and polite, inquiring about estimated time of arrivals etc.Regarding the area, as seen on the map, it's close to a convenience store (Lawson) and the Kinokuni Line station Esumi, so access to other areas is also unexpectedly quite easy (but of course, rental cars are much more convenient. 🫣)The neighbourhood is truly a village, so it's very calm and quiet, perfect for workations for those who need a getaway from the hustle of the city. The house itself is a renovated ryokan, so many traditional Japanese inn features and the facade is still maintained. There are rooms on both first floor and second floor. Access for wheelchairs is a bit limited, as entrance is a Japanese 'genkan', which needs quite a step up.The place is also perfect for solo travellers! You can cook freely in the kitchen, and as the konbini is near, there's a lot that we can actually do for food. For local produce, the host Satsuki-san will definitely be happy to bring you to the shops to explore fish and groceries for those who want a more authentic taste.

There were no problems with the facilities or equipment, and it was a highly recommended inn for a large group of people. There is a convenience store within walking distance, and above all, the owner and the people in the town were very considerate, and it was a very nice inn where I could feel the warmth of Susami's humanity.I would definitely stay here again when I go to Susami.
